  • Patent number: 6845991
Abstract: By providing a plurality of cooperating, foldable panel members in combination with a plurality of foldable wheel assemblies, a unique wagon or cart construction is attained which is capable of being folded into a small, compact area, whenever desired, and then quickly and easily deployed into a fully erected and operational position, which enables virtually any desired object to be easily transported. In addition, in the preferred construction of this invention, an automatically deployed structural supporting member is incorporated into the wagon/cart for providing inherent strength and rigidity to the wagon/cart when fully erected. In this way, heavy objects previously incapable of being transported are capable of being accommodated with ease.

  • Patent number: 6820710
Abstract: A motorcycle having a speed control rotary throttle grip and a pivoted brake lever both mounted on a steering handlebar, is provided with a split clamp ring surrounding the throttle grip and movable to releasably clamp the throttle grip against rotation from a preset position of cruising speed. A catch pin supported by one section of the split clamp ring is movable with the other section of the clamp ring to releasably secure the sections together. The catch pin is movable either manually by physical force or automatically by movement of the brake lever during braking of the motorcycle speed. Manual force may be applied to move a clamp lever, while automatic operation is achieved by movement of the brake lever into engagement with the clamp lever.

  • Patent number: 6779810
Abstract: A ski binding or a snowboard binding having boot holder components on the front end or the toe end and on the rear end or the heel end. The invention includes a holding device which is arranged between the boot holder components and this holding device connects said boot holder components by means of connection elements. These connection elements have an adjusting device having an adjusting input which can be operated by a motor-driven tool, and the connection elements are adjustable against a self-locking effect, that is, adjustable to provide some resistance to further toe-to-heel movement of the connection elements once adjusted. The connection elements can be part of a threaded spindle. The boot holder components and holding device are secured displaceably on the ski or the snowboard in a fixed manner in the vertical direction with a form-fitting connection on a guide rail extending in the longitudinal direction of the ski or snowboard.

  • Patent number: 6736413
Abstract: A highback for controlling a gliding board, such as a snowboard, through leg movement of a rider. The highback is comprised of an upright support member including at least two portions that are to be contacted by and to support a rear portion of the rider's leg and that are movable relative to each other for setting a desired forward lean of the highback. The support member may include a lower portion with a pair of mounting locations for mounting the highback to a gliding board component, such as a snowboard binding, and an upper portion movably supported by the lower portion to vary the forward lean of the highback. The highback may include a forward lean adjuster that that prevents the upper portion from moving in the heel direction beyond a predetermined forward lean position. The forward lean adjuster may be coupled to the upper portion and the lower portion of the highback to maintain the upper portion in the selected forward lean position independent of the gliding board component.

  • Patent number: 6623038
Abstract: An automatic lifting mud flap assembly for a motor vehicle includes at least two identical flap control boxes or housings. Each box is detachably mounted on the motor vehicle in the location of the mud flap after the standard mud flap is removed, and the mud flap is then mounted on the mounting box using standardized fittings. Lifting bars are detachably attached to the mud flaps adjacent their lower edge. A cable is securely connected inside the box and extends outside the box for connection to the lifting bar. An air cylinder and pulley system inside the housing controls the extent of the cable outside the box, and the air cylinder is operatively connected to the pneumatic system of the vehicle through an electric air valve which retracts or extends the cable, thus raising or lowering the mud flap. The electric air valve can be actuated manually from the vehicle cab or automatically by connection to the rear back up lights to raise the flaps when the vehicle is put into reverse gear.
