  • Patent number: 5742682
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a secure box in a Key Management System that includes a plurality of functionally distinct secure boxes initializes a first manufacturing box if one does not exist. The method creates in a manufacturing box at least one logical security domain including encryption keys needed to perform Key Management System processes within the domain, and provides a target secure box with the capability to perform at least one Key Management System function from a plurality of functions required by the Key Management System. The method authenticates the target secure box to the manufacturing box, installs a unique secure box identification in the target secure box, and creates at least one logical security domain in the target secure box corresponding to a logical security domain in the manufacturing box.

  • Patent number: 4837578
Abstract: A method and apparatus for use in a pulse-echo imaging or ranging system comprising means (32) for identifying the analytic signal from a received signal and means (34) for extracting ranging information from the analytic signal. The analytic signal can be obtained and processed by digital or by analog circuit means. One embodiment of the analog circuit means (32) includes means (90) for modulating the received signal on a carrier frequency, means (92) for obtaining a single sideband signal from the modulated signal and means (94) for envelope detecting the single sideband signal.

  • Patent number: 4544926
Abstract: A radar receiver, associated with a transmitter sending out circularly or linearly polarized waves, has two parallel channels for the respective processing of incoming echo signals derived from incident waves with mutually orthogonal linear (e.g. horizontal and vertical) polarization. For the suppression of interfering signals from a jammer, each channel includes an adaptive compensator generating a cancellation signal from the incoming signal of the other channel and from a feedback signal originating at the output of its own channel; this cancellation signal is subtracted from the incoming signal received by the respective channel. The resulting purged signals are fed to a channel selector which compares their power and directs the momentarily predominating signal to a load.
