    Abstract: A face seal assembly includes a rotationally fixed first component at least partially defining an interior chamber containing a volume of lubricant. The first component includes a rotationally fixed seal element. A rotatable second component is rotatable about an axis of rotation relative to the first component. The second component includes a second component body extending along the axis of rotation from the interior chamber to outside of the interior chamber. An axially facing component surface is located in the interior chamber and is configured to engage with an axially-facing element surface of the seal element to define a seal interface of the face seal. A plurality of fins extend radially outwardly from the second component body in the chamber interior, such that the plurality of fins create a centrifugal force on the volume of lubricant to urge the volume of lubricant away from the seal interface.

One of the pressure spaces is an equalizing pressure space in hydraulic communication with the process gas inlet via a flow line, such that in operation, pressure in the equalizing pressure space is maintained at an equalized pressure with respect to a pressure in the process gas inlet.

The method then involves providing a second web, and merging and joining the first web to the second web via the adhesive strips to form a multilayer web.     Abstract: A strain wave gearing is provided with a lubricant sealing structure that prevents a lubricant from leaking to the outside through a gap between a hollow input shaft and an end plate. The lubricant sealing structure is provided with a labyrinth seal that seals the gap. The labyrinth seal is configured by a plurality of gap portions defined by an oil-repellent surface in which fine grooves are formed in a prescribed groove array pattern. The oil-repellent surface is also formed at an outer peripheral surface portion on an upstream side of the labyrinth seal. Leakage of a lubricant oil to outside of the device can be reliably prevented through the oil-repellent effect of the oil-repellent surface at the upstream side, the sealing effect of the labyrinth seal, and the oil-repellent effect from the oil-repellent surface of the labyrinth seal.
