Abstract: The invention relates to a patch for cutaneous application of a substance, the patch comprising a substance designed to penetrate the epidermis, means for placing the substance in contact with the skin and a peelable cutaneous exfoliation film enabling exfoliation of the skin, after placing the patch, at the level of the contact zone between said substance and the skin.
Abstract: A photocrosslinked biodegradable hydrogel includes a plurality of natural polymer macromers cross-linked with a plurality of hydrolyzable acrylate cross-links. The hydrogel is cytocompatible and produces substantially non-toxic products upon degradation.
Abstract: A solution containing a C70 cyclodextrin complex and a solution containing a lipid that is capable of forming a liposome are mixed together at a temperature in a range of 10° C. to 45° C. This produces a C70-incorporated liposome which keeps a physical property that the C70 fullerene originally has, and is stably solubilized in a polar solvent. Hence, the present invention provides a C70-incorporated liposome which keeps a physical property that the C70 fullerene originally has, and which is stably solubilized in a polar solvent, a production method of the same, and a use of the same.

Abstract: Composition for topical application in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion containing an oily phase dispersed in an aqueous phase, and a hydrophilic polymer, the composition further containing (1) at least one elastomeric organopolysiloxane and (2) at least one lipophilic compound chosen from lipophilic amino acid compounds and lipophilic salicylic acid compounds. Uses thereof, including topical application to the skin, lips, hair, etc. Stabilization of certain emulsions using a lipophilic compound.
Abstract: A topical skin barrier for protecting and promoting healing of skin, and for providing comfort to a patient, comprises a semi-solid hydrocarbon and a water-absorbing compound. The topical skin barrier effectively adheres to skin, affords protection from moisture and waste, and provides transparency in use. Methods of in vitro evaluation are for (i) a composition's protection from moisture and waste, and (ii) a composition's adhesion to skin.
Abstract: The present invention relates to topical compositions containing solid particles that are stabilized via encapsulation into a cross-linked silicone matrix. The solid particles are preferably formed of a metal oxide, such as zinc oxide or titanium dioxide, and the cross-linked silicone matrix is preferably formed by cross-linking a silicone having branched reactive alkoxyl moieties in the presence of a stannous carboxylate cross-linking agent. The stabilized particles of the present invention can readily be used either alone or in combination with other skin care actives to form topical compositions with improved stability and performance.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides for a scientific formulation useful in the treatment and prevention of human and animal diseases.
