Abstract: A rehabilitation device with pace pattern projecting function and seat structure and a control method thereof are provided. The rehabilitation device includes a body with a moving module, a projection device, a first sensor and a control system. The projection device projects pace patterns on a walking plane. The first sensor detects a walking situation of a user on the walking plane. Based on the walking situation detected by the first sensor, the control system adjusts a distance between the rehabilitation device and the user by controlling the moving module and adjusts a position of the pace patterns on the walking plane by controlling the projection device. Moreover, a movable seat mechanism is also disposed on the rear of the rehabilitation device. The user can sit down on the movable seat mechanism and towards the front of the rehabilitation device to rest moderately.

  • Patent number: 9492709
Abstract: This gait analysis apparatus comprises three, and preferably four, vertical force sensors disposed between a treadmill and the ground. When a person walks on the treadmill belt, each force sensor emits an electronic signal proportional to the load on the frame. The sensors measure the load hundreds of times per second and that data, in combination with the speed of the treadmill belt, enables a processing unit to calculate many gait parameters. The resultant calculations are displayed to the clinician in numeric and graphical formats. Due largely to the few number of force sensors, the apparatus is relatively inexpensive compared to existing gait parameter apparatuses and can be easily retrofitted to existing treadmills by either replacing the treadmill's existing ground supports with force sensors or resting the treadmill on top of a frame that has integral force sensors.

  • Patent number: 9468794
Abstract: A stationary exercise cycle includes a simulation system for simulating real-world terrain based on environmental and other real-world conditions. Using topographical or other data, an actual location can be simulated. The exercise cycle may include a resistance mechanism that is adjusted based on changes in simulated slope, and by amounts simulating actual frictional and gravitational forces. The simulated speed of the rider, as well as speed and direction of a simulated wind, are used to determine a simulated air speed. Based on the simulated air speed, the simulation system determines the simulated air resistance hindering the rider, and changes reflective of the simulated air resistance are made by the resistance mechanism. The stationary exercise cycle takes into account actual or approximate physical information of the user in determining the real-world conditions that are simulated, including the height, weight, shape, and/or rising position of the rider.

  • Patent number: 9463356
Abstract: Exercise systems and methods are provided that create and run exercise programs that are custom tailored to individual users. An exercise program for a specific user is based upon the user's average work heart rate and recovery heart rate. The exercise programs may include a series of workouts for the user to perform. Each workout requires the user to exercise at various intensity levels so that the user's heart rate moves between different predetermined target heart rate zones. The target heart rate zones are calculated from data relating to the user's average work heart rate and recovery heart rate. As the user's fitness level changes, the user's average work heart rate and recovery heart rate also change. Creation of new exercise programs uses the most current heart rate data to calculate the target heart rate zones, thereby continuously tailoring the exercise programs to the user.
