  • Patent number: 11501492
Abstract: Techniques are described for automated operations to analyze visual data combined from multiple images captured in a room to determine the room shape, such as by iteratively refining alignment of the multiple images' visual data into a common coordinate system until alignment differences satisfy one or more defined criteria, and for subsequently using the determined room shape information in further automated manners. The images may be panorama images in an equirectangular or other spherical format, and determined room shapes for one or more rooms of a building may be fully closed three-dimensional shapes and used to improve navigation of the building (e.g., as part of a generated building floor plan)—the automated room shape determination may be further performed without having or using information from any distance-measuring devices about distances from an image's acquisition location to walls or other objects in the surrounding room.

  • Patent number: 11482001
Abstract: In a current image processing environment, providing feedback for a user operation is slow, and a user cannot confirm the result of the operation in real time. Thus, the user interrupts the operation every time the user confirms the feedback, and a time period for performing image processing is long. An image processing device includes a guidance information generator. The guidance information generator acquires trajectory information to be used to segment an image object on an image input from a user, generates guidance information indicating a segmentation region desired by the user based on the trajectory information, and presents the segmentation region based on a user's intention in real-time. The guidance information generator provides a function of smoothly continuously segmenting an image object.

  • Patent number: 11410371
Abstract: A platform for visualization of traffic information at an observed roadway or traffic intersection converts data collected from sensors for rendering as dynamic animations on a virtual map of the observed roadway or traffic intersection. The platform parses and curates incoming sensor data from either a single or multiple sensors representing one or more objects at the observed roadway or traffic intersection, and translates at least location data of each object for correlation of the object's movement relative to the observed roadway or traffic intersection. The platform then generates dynamic animations of the movement of each object and displays the animations as an overlay on the virtual map.

  • Patent number: 11393174
Abstract: To reduce this amount of bandwidth needed to share 3D map images between mobile devices, according to some embodiments, a user's mobile device (i.e., a host device) may identify its origin in a 3D map and a current virtual camera position relative to the origin based on the physical position of the mobile device. The mobile device may send both the origin and the virtual camera position to another mobile device (i.e., a client device) for use in rendering a corresponding image. Separately, the client device may download the 3D map images from a server, e.g., in preparation for a meeting. In this manner, the host device may send the origin to the client device once, as well as send a data stream of the current virtual camera position for use in accessing the corresponding 3D map images at the client device.
