Abstract: A refrigeration appliance is provided with a freezer compartment accessible through an openable door, the freezer compartment extending between two side walls. An ice bin is slidably mounted in the freezer compartment occupying a width of the freezer compartment, less than a full width between the two side walls. A food storage compartment is slidably mounted in the freezer compartment with at least a portion horizontally adjacent to the ice bin, and slidable independently of the ice bin. A non-contact ice level sensing apparatus having an emitter component and a receiver component is provided, with one of the components mounted between the ice bin and the food storage compartment and the other of the components mounted on an opposite side of the ice bin from the food storage compartment.

Abstract: A substantially flat-shaped board type carrier (8) is placed on a carrier frame mounted on the front and/or rear of a straddle type four wheeled all-terrain vehicle. The carrier surface (8A) on which baggage is placed is provided with numerous lateral anti-slip projections (8e) that are parallel to one another and expand outward. Of the parts comprising the carrier frame, at least the front main frame and rear main frame are made of pipe and support the carrier by being fitted into the fitting grooves formed by the ribs on the bottom surface of the carrier.

Abstract: An integral, molded rubber base for a backpack. This base is connected to the fabric body portion of the backpack. A tread or lug sole pattern is provided on the bottom and sides of the molded rubber base. The back surface of the base is contoured to curve around the user's back, thus providing more comfort than a traditional straight back.

Abstract: A preferred embodiment of a water conditioner dispensing apparatus is disclosed for use with a toilet having a bowl, a bowl supply pipe, and a filler tube which emits a jet of bowl makeup water into the bowl supply pipe to refill the bowl after flushing. The apparatus has a conditioner container with a reservoir for holding liquid conditioner. A wick extends from the container reservoir for placement in a jet of bowl makeup water so that liquid conditioner is dispensed through the bowl supply pipe into the toilet bowl to selectively treat only the bowl water and not the flush water stored in the tank.

Abstract: A dual capacity toilet flusher for controlling the release of water from a storage tank (25) into a bowl (23) and the refilling of the storage tank and the bowl after a flush. For liquid waste, the user gently presses the flush lever (24), thus rotates an arm (11) to raise a guide (13) and the flap valve (19) and locks a detent (64) in the guide against a locking arm (56). The open flap valve lowers the water level (36) and a float (15) connected to a cam assembly (67). After about 3.8 liters of water has drained out, a cam (39A) on the cam assembly rotates a spring loaded rocker assembly (68) to release the locking arm to allow the guide and flap valve to fall to stop water outflow. A feed tube then refills the tank while a bleed tube refills the bowl through the overflow pipe (16). Valves on the feed and bleed tubes allow manual flow rate adjustments. For solid wastes, the user quickly presses the flush lever.

Abstract: An apparatus for the hygiene care of a person confined to a bed, comprising an inflatable tub with two cavities therein that is easily placed under a person and inflated. The device is equipped with separate drains and aprons which create pockets that contain disposable waste water bags which retrieve all waste water from the bed. The inflatable bed is supplied with water and air from a free-moving service apparatus. The inflatable bed and service apparatus are integral parts and together provide a practical and convenient method to administer personnel hygiene care to a person confined to a bed.

Abstract: A urinary device to permit a user to urinate from an upright position, and providing more accurate discharge of the urine. The urinary device includes a funnel-shaped element placed around the urethra of the user. The urine is directed through an aperture into a tubular element. In one embodiment, the funnel-shaped and tubular elements are formed from a pair of opposed planar side walls hinged at the anterior and posterior longitudinal edges, with the device packaged in a flat-folded condition. In another embodiment, the tubular element is provided with accordion pleats extending the full length of the tubular element. The accordion pleats may be compacted for packaging purposes and then extended at time of use.

Abstract: Dual control flushing mechanism enables a user to select complete or partial flush of a toilet tank. The complete flush is obtained by lifting a mobile assembly containing a float, while maintaining the float intact. The partial flush is obtained by lifting the mobile assembly and simultaneously opening the float so that it fills with water and thereafter sinks, causing a blocking valve to engage and terminate the flushing process before a full flush has been effected.

Abstract: A toilet seat bidet assembly, for use on a toilet bowl, the assembly including a toilet seat, which includes an upper molded seat portion, a flat base portion structured and disposed for supported positioning atop a rim portion of the toilet bowl, and a central opening, pivotally mounted atop the toilet bowl, and having a hollow channel formed between the upper seat portion and base portion of the toilet seat wherein a pair of flow actuated, pop out cleansing spouts are mounted in spaced apart relation from one another. The spouts are caused to protrude through a side of the upper portion of the toilet seat into the center opening in the toilet seat in response to water pressure so as to disperse water for cleansing a user's intimate parts. The spouts retract and remain protectively concealed within the hollow channel when water flow is stopped so as to shield them from potential contamination.
