Abstract: A water-soluble package comprises a composition such as a liquid detergent composition enclosed within a water-soluble film. The film, or at least a substantial portion thereof, is dusted with a powder such as talc, starch, calcium stearate or zinc stearate by passing the package through a cloud or fluidized bed of the particles.

Abstract: A novel car wash composition substantially eliminates water-spotting. This novel car wash composition is comprised of: a surfactant package which is comprised of a first surfactant selected from the group consisting essentially of an anionic surfactant, a nonionic surfactant and mixtures thereof; and a second surfactant selected from the group consisting essentially of fluorosurfactant, a silicone surfactant, and mixtures thereof; and a substantive polymer that renders the surface to be cleaned more hydrophilic.

Abstract: A disinfectant and cleansing composition is provided in the form of an extruded solid. The active agent in the composition is a halogen-releasing agent such as a halogenated 5,5-dialkylhydantoin. An inert binder such as a fatty acid salt or a hectoritic clay is used to enable manufacture of the composition using an extrusion process. Fragrance, colorants, and other pressure-sensitive materials may be included; fragrance and colorants are preferably incorporated in encapsulated form. Methods for manufacturing the compositions are also provided, as are methods for using the compositions in sanitizing water, particularly in disinfecting and cleansing flush toilets.
Abstract: A free-flowing particulate detergent admix that contains nonionic surfactant is disclosed. The nonionic surfactant is in the form of various sorbitan esters encased in a matrix of a plastic, organic structuring agent that can be readily dissolved or dispersed in an aqueous laundry bath. The nonionic detergent admix can be incorporated in granular laundry detergent products.
