Patent number: 9227500Abstract: A weather strip (50) has: a body section (51) which extends along a door sash (12) and an edge of a door body (11); a ridge section (52) which extends from the body section (51) so as to rise toward the outside of the vehicle; and an extension section (53) which extends at the root of the ridge section (52) from the body section (51) so as to be capable of being located between a door mirror (14) and the surface (23) of an upper piece section (21), the surface (23) facing the outside of the vehicle. The extension section (53) is gripped between a gap absorbing member (33) and the surface (23) of the door sash (12), the surface (23) facing the outside of the outside of the vehicle. Also, a protrusion section (54) is engaged with an engagement recess (55). The weather strip (50) is held down not at a fitting section (56) but also at the extension section (53) and the protrusion section (54). As a result, the weather strip (50) is less likely to come out of the door sash (12).Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 2013Date of Patent: January 5, 2016Assignee: HONDA MOTOR CO., LTD.Inventor: Yuuichirou Saiki

Patent number: 9180761Abstract: A hinge assembly includes a body strap having a main body. The main body defines a first surface end and a second surface opposite the first body end. The body strap includes a first pin support and a second pin support. The first and second pin supports extend from the main body. The body strap includes a protrusion extending from the second body end of the main body. The protrusion defines a first protrusion end and a second protrusion end opposite the first protrusion end. The hinge assembly further includes a door strap partially disposed between the first and second pin supports and a pin movably interconnecting the body strap and the door strap. The pin extends along an axis and is supported by the first and second pin supports.Type: GrantFiled: May 2, 2014Date of Patent: November 10, 2015Assignee: GM Global Technology Operations LLCInventors: Eric A. Patent number: 8317239Abstract: A flip-up bumper assembly for a motor vehicle having a at least one attachment assembly, a support member, a bumper frame, a lift height adjustment member, an extendable member. Additionally, the flip-up bumper assembly may further include a variable height bumper frame and/or a pivot member. The flip up bumper assembly is generally coupled to the motor vehicle. The bumper frame is operably connected to the support member wherein the bumper frame rotates about a pivot point on the support member. The extendable member is coupled to both the attachment member and the bumper frame. The extendable member extends in a generally horizontal direction and causes the bottom of the bumper frame to angularly deflect about the pivot point, resulting in an outward and upward translation. The variable height flip-up bumper assembly of the present invention allows for the use of a plurality of bumper sizes as selected by the vehicle owner.Type: GrantFiled: April 22, 2010Date of Patent: November 27, 2012Assignee: Four State International Trucks, Inc.Inventors: Bryan E.
