  • Patent number: 12626254
Abstract: Various aspects of the subject technology relate to systems, methods, and machine-readable media for improving the privacy of transfers in a distributed ledger. Various aspects may include encrypting a transaction using a first public key corresponding to a first user and a second public key corresponding to a second user. Aspects may also include transmitting the encrypted transaction to a blockchain, the encrypted transaction including at least an encrypted amount, a zero-knowledge proof, and an encrypted balance of the first user. Aspects may also include verifying a correctness of the zero-knowledge proof. Aspects may also include, based on the correctness, executing the transaction through a smart contract of the blockchain and homomorphically updating encrypted balances of the first user and the second user in accordance with the encrypted amount.

  • Patent number: 12573271
Abstract: An ATM includes a long range WAN module that provides the ATM with a low power WAN (LPWAN) capability for increased resiliency. The ATM and bank application servers generally communicate over an ATM communications network to allow customers to perform banking transactions. When this connection is not functioning, the ATM may continue to be used to perform banking transactions, without interruption, by communicating over a LoRaWAN network with another nearby LPWAN-enabled ATM that is in communication with the bank application servers. The LoRaWAN network may also be used to automatically obtain software to fix an error at the ATM when the software is obtainable via a nearby LPWAN-enabled ATM. The LoRaWAN module may be further used to record a state of operations at the ATM and to use the record to resume the transaction where the transaction was interrupted while in progress due to an ATM outage.

  • Patent number: 12572920
Abstract: A system for facilitating transfer of a resource to a sender-selected recipient according to a sender-selected mode of resource transfer is disclosed. A group of selectable additional recipients of the resource may also be presented to the sender and one or more of the selectable additional recipients may be selected by the sender to receive the resource along with an initially specified recipient. The group of selectable additional recipients of the resource to be presented to the sender, and different modes of resource transfer from which the sender can select, may be determined in various ways, including by an output of discrete trained machine-learning models. Once a selection of a recipient(s) and a mode of resource transfer is received, a resource transfer command message can be generated and sent to a resource transfer computing system to initiate a transfer of the resource to the recipient(s).

  • Patent number: 12572947
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems for using machine learning to improve the likelihood of success of recurring transactions. In one example, a suite of different machine learning models can be used together, such that a first machine learning model predicts a likelihood of success for a recurring transaction associated with a user account and the second machine learning model predicts whether a pre-authorization would help with the predicted likelihood of success. As a result, a server may pre-authorize the recurring transactions at a time earlier than the scheduled transaction time and place a hold on the user account using an amount predicted by the second machine learning model where the hold amount can be adjusted in accordance with the user account's activities. Data associated with the recurring transaction itself can be ingested by the second machine learning model for re-calibration purposes.

  • Patent number: 12572946
Abstract: A computing system receives rules and transaction data from a database. The system creates a potential rule list and stores the rules in the list on the database. The system creates an ordered rule list, a rule-to-transaction lookup table, and a transaction-to-rule lookup table. The system applies each rule to each transaction and identifies each transaction for which each rule is true. The system adds each rule and the identified transactions to the lookup tables and generates a priority-ordered list of the rules iteratively until all rules have been removed from the potential rule list. In each iteration, the system calculates an accuracy of each rule based on all transactions for which the rule is true, appends the highest accuracy rules to the ordered rule list, removes the rules from the potential rule list, and removes the transactions from all entries in the rule-to-transaction lookup table.
