Abstract: Message processing is described, in which each of first and second computer systems have a message operator configured to process messages to manage a data structure having a state determined via the processing. The message operator of the first computer system is configured to reroute unprocessed messages to the message operator of the second computer system such that the message operator of the second computer system establishes an order of an input message stream and a current state of the data structure arising from the input message stream. The message operator of the second computer system is configured to, once the current state is established, send the messages of the input message stream to the message operator of the first computer system in accordance with the established order such that the current state of data structure is recreated by the message operator of the first computer system.

Abstract: A system and method for issuing a virtual value-bearing card associated with only non-personally identifying information is disclosed. A remote internet enabled device, an input device, a network coupling, and a card dispenser communicate to convert physical or electronic currency, wherein the converted funds are immediately available to the user with a virtual value bearing card stored on an application hosted on an internet enabled device. The converted funds are simultaneously available on a physical card. The input device is configured to receive input to scan a code graphically provided by the internet enabled device. The code includes only non-personally identifiable information. The network coupling is configured to send the new account request to an acquirer processor and to receive an approval response from the acquirer processor.

Abstract: A money processing device includes: a money processing unit; a communication circuitry; a man-machine interface; and processing circuitry configured to control the money processing unit, the communication circuitry and the man-machine interface. The processing circuitry generates temporary information, and operates the communication circuitry or the man-machine interface to provide the temporary information to outside. When the communication circuitry or the man-machine interface that is not operated to provide the temporary information to the outside receives secondary information corresponding to the temporary information, the processing circuitry transfers the money processing device to a state of executing a process of resolving an abnormality.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and techniques for combinable gift card components during a checkout process in a retail environment. A gift card can include a first gift card component of a first type, the first gift card component including a first identifier (e.g., barcode), and a second gift card component of a second type that can be different from the first type and separate from the first gift card component, having a second identifier. The first and second identifiers can be scanned and used to associate the first gift card component with the second gift card component. The second gift card component can be an envelope or sleeve that can be a similar size and/or a similar shape as the first gift card component. The second gift card component can permanently attach to the first gift card component during the checkout process to form the gift card.

The circuit is also configured to capture, automatically based on the determination that the identification item is contained within the outline, a first image of the identification item of the user. The circuit is also configured to verify an identity of the user based on a comparison of the first image with a second image of the user. Abstract: Vehicle costs may be allocated between users of a vehicle, including autonomous vehicles. A vehicle cost allocation (VCA) computing device receives an anticipated trip report associated with an anticipated future trip, the anticipated trip report associated with at least one vehicle user including an anticipated driver of the vehicle and an anticipated passenger, the anticipated trip report including at least one of an anticipated destination and a distance of the anticipated future trip. The VCA computing device is also configured to determine one or more anticipated vehicle costs for the anticipated future trip. The vehicle costs may include usage-based or trip-based insurance. The VCA computing device is also configured to allocate a respective portion of the vehicle cost to the anticipated driver and passenger and transmit the anticipated vehicle costs to for review by the anticipated driver.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a customer authentication system includes at least one sensor configured to provide location information of people around a product display section. A customer authentication device is configured to provide customer identification information. A processing device is configured to perform location tracking of the people around the product display section based on the location information from the one or more sensors. The number of people in a predetermined area around the first customer authentication device is then determined based on the location tracking. The processing device enables customer authentication via the customer authentication device if only one person is in the predetermined area and disables customer authentication via the customer authentication device if more than one person is present in the predetermined area.

Abstract: This disclosure describes an edge-node computing system that provides streamlined access to secured products/services based on data captured by one or more sensors. The captured data may include unsolicited authenticators. Edge-nodes may process the captured data and perform a plurality of pre-authentication routines. A consensus protocol executed by the edge-nodes may establish a threshold pre-authentication of a customer based on the plurality of pre-authentication routines. Edge-nodes may configure an automated teller machine (“ATM”) to provide the customer access to the ATM based on the threshold pre-authentication. The edge-nodes may configure the ATM to allow the customer to use a contactless authentication method to access the ATM.

Intermediate computer storing electronic tax data of multiple taxpayers determines whether electronic tax data provided or derived based on first input includes a first set for certain fields of an electronic tax form. If so, certain fields are automatically populated and a second, larger set of electronic data is identified and imported from data store to populate additional fields. If not, tax return preparation application generates a second interview screen requesting second input. Additional fields are not populated with data imported from data store when second input confirms that electronic tax data does not include the first set, but may import from data store when second input makes modifications or corrections such that electronic tax data includes the first set.

Abstract: A financial institution computing system associated with a financial institution includes an account management circuit configured to prompt a user via a user device to capture a first image of an identification item of the user and a second image of the user using the user device in response to receiving, over a network via a network interface, an input from the user device regarding establishing a new account at the financial institution. The account management circuit is further configured to receive, over the network via the network interface, the first image and the second image, verify the identity of the user by comparing the first image with the second image, and create the new account for the user by generating an account number for the user and storing the account number in the accounts database in response to the identity of the user being verified.

Abstract: A data transaction processing system includes a quarantine system that delays messages configured to accept a delay before being processed by the data transaction processing system. During periods of heavy network traffic, the imposed delay reduces network congestion by distributing/load leveling messages according to available computing resources. Separating messages over time also reduces the processing latency of the data transaction processing system. Messages that are routed and delayed through the quarantine system may be executed at a better transactional value than other non-delayed messages.
