  • Patent number: 11176686
Abstract: A system includes a sensor, a weight sensor, and a tracking subsystem. The tracking subsystem receives an image feed of top-view images generated by the sensor and weight measurements from the weight sensor. The tracking subsystem detects an event associated with an item being removed from a rack in which the weight sensor is installed. The tracking subsystem determines that a first person and a second person may be associated with the event. In response, the tracking subsystem dilates contours associated with the first and second person from a first depth to a second depth until the contours enter a zone adjacent to the rack. A number of iterations is determined for each contour to enter the zone adjacent to the rack. If the first person's contour enters the zone in fewer iterations, the item is assigned to the first person.

  • Patent number: 11127146
Abstract: The invention relates to layered depth data. In multi-view images, there is a large amount of redundancy between images. Layered Depth Video format is a well-known formatting solution for formatting multi-view images which reduces the amount of redundant information between images. In LDV, a reference central image is selected and information brought by other images of the multi-view images that are mainly regions occluded in the central image are provided. However, LDV format contains a single horizontal occlusion layer, and thus fails rendering viewpoints that uncover multiple layers dis-occlusions. The invention uses light filed content which offers disparities in every directions and enables a change in viewpoint in a plurality of directions distinct from the viewing direction of the considered image enabling to render viewpoints that may uncover multiple layer dis-occlusions which may occurs with complex scenes viewed with wide inter-axial distance.

  • Patent number: 11126915
Abstract: An information processing apparatus and a method for volume data visualization is provided. The information processing apparatus stores an auto-encoder that includes an encoder network and a decoder network. The encoder network includes a loss function and a first plurality of neural network (NN) layers. The information processing apparatus inputs volume data to an initial NN layer of the first plurality of NN layers and generates a latent image as an output from a final NN layer of the first plurality of NN layers based on application of the encoder network on the input volume data. The information processing apparatus estimates a distance between the generated latent image and a reference image based on the loss function and updates the encoder network based on the estimated distance. Finally, the information processing apparatus outputs the updated encoder network as a trained encoder network based on the estimated distance being a minimum.
