  • Patent number: 6877876
Abstract: A variable beam flashlight has a housing with an exterior control knob that is movable by thumb. A light assembly in the housing includes a casing having a cylindrical guide housing within a bore, the inner surface defining the bore having a helical grove. Within the guide housing is cylindrical bulb extension member in which the bulb is fitted to one end. The bulb extension member has a groove member that extends through a slot in the guide housing and into the helical groove, such that when the control knob is rotated by the thumb, the guide housing is rotated. The rotating guide housing slot displaces the groove member causing the groove member to follow the helical groove. As it follows the groove the bulb extension member is moved longitudinally within the guide housing, causing the bulb to be positioned at variable distances from the front lens.

  • Patent number: 6877872
Abstract: A plurality of minute lenticular elements made of a light-transmissible material and each having a substantially plano-convex cross section are formed on a major surface of a light conductive plate opposite to another major surface provided with a light reflection pattern, and are arranged radially with respect to a spot-like light source with their respective longitudinal directions oriented perpendicular to grooves of the light reflection pattern. Light rays guided in the lenticular element from its bottom surfaces are spread in a circumferential direction of its outer curved surfaces. A view field angle can be increased by the lenticular element in a direction tangential to the grooves improving view field angle distribution.

  • Patent number: 6877884
Abstract: A detachable lamp assembly device is disclosed. A limiting reed is locked to the receiving groove. A buckling elastic piece is locked to the limit groove. Two sides of the limiting reed are installed with buckles; and the buckles slightly protrude from an edge of the receiving groove. An edge of each buckle of the reed is installed with a bank of stepped surface. Thus, after the lamp rod is inserted into the lamp seat, the lamp rod is prevented from being out of the lamp seat. Thereby, a user can assemble the lamp rod by inserting it into the lamp seat easily. Moreover, the lamp is detachable for storage and transfer with a smaller volume.
