Abstract: An automatic fitting apparatus for holding and forwarding a pair of tubular hose parts of half made pantyhose to a panty part sewing maching includes a forwarding mechanism, a transfer device, movable back and forth to transfer the parts to a table, capable of moving and inclining, and provided with right and left slits for receiving the hose parts, a suction mechanism for opening the welt portions, a drive for moving the table between upright and sideways positions, and a stretching device movable between the table and a clamping mechanism of a panty part sewing machine. The forwarding mechanism may include pairs of flexible plates mounted on a conveyor.

Abstract: A cuff construction having readily accessible coverings for hands, feet and head is provided. The cuff is generally integrally attached to an article of clothing, and folds in on itself for storing the coverings. The cuff is formed at an opening in a garment, such as a glove, sleeve, neck or leg and included a panel along about one half of the circumference of the opening with the two adjacent edges of the panel secured to the cuff. The panel is switchable between a first open positon allowing the head, hand or foot to pass through and a second closed position forming a covering around the appendage. The covering may take the form of a glove or mitten, a sock or shoe, or a ski mask or the like. A pocket for ready storage may also be provided.

Abstract: A garment supporter comprising a belt and an affixed harness the functional purpose of which is to maintain the position of an upper torso garment on the body of a wearer. The belt encircles the torso and the outer surface of the lower portion of such a garment, has at least one slip resistant surface engageable therewith, and thereby maintains its own position in relation to the garment. The harness is connected to the rear of the belt, extends through the crotch, is again connected to the front of the belt, and thereby maintains the position of the belt and the position of the garment relative to the body of the wearer.

Abstract: Method and apparatus to fabricate a unique fitted bedding covers from a generally rectangular blank of textile material of selected dimension which can permit automated operation to provide bedding covers which accommodate mattress corners and allows application of elastic to select portions of the sides of the blank in stretched condition to prevent movement of the cover when it is placed over a mattress. Bedding covers, methods and apparatus within the scope of the present invention also can be fabricated without cutting the rectangular blank or with cutting of the blank either prior to or after application of the stretched elastic material.

Abstract: An apparatus for joining the pocket bag (I) and the pocket trimming (II) in trouser pockets, with a folded fabric edge of the pocket trimming (II) being sewn by means of a sewing-machine (4) to the pocket bag (I) consisting of lining material. For rapid, automatic preparation of a pocket bag (I) together with a pocket trimming (I) having a folded fabric edge to be sewn to said pocket bag (I), as well as for rapidly and automatically supplying said bag and said trimming to the sewing operation in continuously following manner to said preparation step, it is provided according to the present invention that a folding means (5) and a material conveyor (6) for conveying the material to be sewn are associated with the sewing-machine (4). The folding means, as seen in sewing feed direction, is located in front of the sewing-machine (4) whereas the material conveyor (6) is provided between the folding means (5) and the sewing-machine (4).

Abstract: This invention relates to an automatic sewing machine exclusively used for sewing a zipper on a workpiece and its related art. The automatic sewing machine exclusively used for sewing a zipper on a workpiece comprises a sewing machine (10, 20) capable of at least sewing linearly, a drive device movable in two axes right angles to each other in a plane vertical to the movement direction of the needle (11, 21) of the sewing machine and a zipper setting device (12, 22) attached to said drive device for gripping said zipper (3) and workpiece (1) in a predetermined relationship.

Abstract: The invention relates to V-shaped briefs which can be produced in one piece and which consist of a preferably elastic crotch or gusset part and two side bands of essentially uniform width made of a decorative knitted border. The briefs are produced by continuously knitting single or double layer material widths which after having separated only need to be worked on along one seam or not at all in order to obtain the finished briefs. In addition, it is possible to sew on stocking parts with a very steep leg line. Production is considerably simplified and costs greatly reduced without adversely affecting the wearing properties and the fashionable appearance of the garment.

Abstract: An apparatus for automatically finishing pantyhose includes pairs of pattern frames on which a pair of pantyhose are fitted and which are respectively mounted on a revolving ring plate which stops at stations for pantyhose inspection, drying, and pulling-out. At the inspection station, the pattern frames are lifted by an elevating device and their width is increased for inspection of the pantyhose. At the drying station, they are dried and set to the shape of the widened pattern frames by an infrared heater. At the pulling-out station, a device clamps their toe portion and pulls them into a folding device, a lowering device lowers the pattern frames and narrows their widths, and a tucking-up device is lifted so as to raise the mouth portion of the pantyhose. The folding device folds them in two before they are forwarded to a packaging station.

Abstract: A glove is formed of plastic films which are sealed together along lateral edges between which is formed a peripheral seal in the form of a contour providing thumb, forefinger and further receptacles. The further receptacle is intended to accommodate three fingers. In this arrangement, interior seals are provided which are in part spaced from the lateral edges and parallel thereto but which merge with the respective lateral edges to form lateral receptacles between which is an opening for the penetration of the hand of the user. The films are processed by bringing two films together and forming the contour seal thereon while forming at the lateral edges a rectilinear seal having on opposite sides thereof the adjacent interior seals of two successive gloves. The successive gloves are made separable by the provision of a line of perforations which are formed in correspondence with the lateral seals.

A plurality of correction pieces disposed on the body and urged by the forward actuation of the pneumatic cylinder contact and press the upper surface of the towel cloth thereby correcting bending of the towel cloth.

Abstract: A suit material support device which comprises a center suit coat body support member and a pair of suit sleeve support members disposed on the opposite sides of the suit body support member. The suit coat body support member is rotatable from a suit coat body placing position and to right- and left-hand suit sleeve sewing positions. It has a plurality of suit body bars displaceable in planes intersecting each other at right angles and clamp needles for clamping suit sleeves against the suit body bars. A pair of suit sleeve support members are disposed on opposite sides of the suit body support member and each is rotatable between a suit sleeve attaching position and a suit sleeve placing position as the mechanism rotates.

Abstract: Disclosed is a wader for use in fishing and other activities having a body portion covering the lower body (including the legs, feet, hips, and waist of the wearer), and a chest portion normally folded inside the body portion but extendable upward about the chest, but not the shoulders of the wearer. The chest portion is preferably held about the chest by a drawstring, such as an elastic drawstring, and is advantageously biased into the lowered position inside the body portion by mans of a seam joining the two portions.

Abstract: A composite fabric adapted to the manufacture of garments and the like is made by spreading a given length of decorative fabric in a given spreading direction to form a plurality of layers of spread decorative fabric each lying in horizontal plane, cutting the layers of decorative fabric in a plurality of vertical cutting planes each parallel to the spreading direction to form a plurality of narrow strips of spread fabric each having the same given length, and slitting opposite sides of each of the narrow strips of spread fabric in a plurality of slitting planes each normal to the spreading direction to form a plurality of center webs respectively extending the length of the strips and each bordered by a plurality of fringes, each of the fringes having a length less than one-half the width of the respective strips and extending in a direction parallel to the slitting planes. The strips are unlayered with the fringes formed thereon, and each of the unlayered strips is quilted to a base fabric.

Oil is pumped into a manifold leading to upper and lower main drive shaft bearings and to the needle driving assembly for subsequent dispersion during rotation and reciprocation of machine parts to fling such oil outwardly within the internal chambers to oil machinery both directly and by misting.
