Abstract: A component for a bit driving tool is taught having a mid-chamber telescopically received in an outer chamber, a bit storage chamber formed in the mid-chamber and surrounding and rotatable about a central bore, a central rod axially movable through the central bore when the mid-chamber is telescopically retracted into the outer chamber and a flexible arm comprising a magnetic end, movable into and out of axial alignment with the central bore. Telescopic extension of the mid-chamber out of the outer chamber positions the magnetic end of the flexible arm to magnetically connect with a rear end of a bit stored in the bit storage chamber and telescopic retraction of the component moves the flexible arm and the magnetically connected bit radially into the central bore and wherein further telescope retraction of the component pushes the bit axially through and out of the component. A locking tip for use with a bit driving unit is also taught.
Abstract: A tool is provided that includes unitary plate that includes a blade portion and a tang portion. The blade portion can include an edge. The tang portion can include a positioning hole, a first hole, a slot, a second hole, a rivet hole, and one or more teeth (also referred to as one or more barbs) on a side of the tang portion. The tool can further include a hilt member which includes a through passage, a tab, and a notch. The tool includes an overlay on a body to create a handle for gripping the tool. The tool further includes a hammerhead cap on an end of the body, the hammerhead cap is coupled to the handle with a rivet through the rivet hole.

Abstract: An electric ratchet wrench includes a body and a driving member rotatably mounted in the body and is rotatable about an axis. A ring gear is rotatably mounted to and moveable relative to the driving member, and the ring gear is rotatable relative to the driving member about a center axis of the ring gear. A power device is received in the body. A transmission shaft is rotatably mounted to the body. The transmission shaft has a end connected to the power device, and another end configured to switch between a meshing state meshed with the ring gear and a disengagement state disengaging from the ring gear. An elastic device biases the ring gear causing the center axis of the ring gear being inclined relative to the axis in the disengagement state and being parallel with the axis in the meshing state.
Abstract: Disclosed is a release mechanism for locking pliers. The mechanism includes a center link and release link that work together to form an over-center lock with a release lever that acts sequentially on the center link and release link. The release lever can first contact the center link at a protrusion, and then contact a release link connected to the center link to release the over-center lock. User experience is therefore improved by a sequential unlocking operation that reduces the amount of leverage required to unlock the pliers.
Abstract: A two-way ratchet screwdriver includes a handle, a main shaft acting on a working end, a ratchet seat, and a reversing seat. Two ends of the ratchet seat are provided with an upper ratchet head and a lower ratchet head, respectively. The upper ratchet head has the same structure as the lower ratchet head and is fixedly connected to the handle. The upper ratchet head is provided with a circle of wheel facing teeth and a circle of ratchet teeth. The wheel facing teeth of the upper and lower ratchet heads are connected by pinions. A periphery of the reversing seat is mounted with at least one set of a forward pawl and an inverse pawl passing through the ratchet seat. The reversing seat is switched to rotate to drive the forward pawl or inverse pawl to act on the ratchet teeth of the upper and lower ratchet heads.
Abstract: A fastener system includes a fastener and a driver, each of which have three alternating lobes and troughs that define the drive surfaces. Each alternating lobes and troughs is defined by an outer radius portion, a drive side transition, an inner transition radius, and a reverse drive portion. The fastener recess and the driver each also have a side wall defined by the outer transition radius that tapers at a taper angle relative to a rotational axis. The fastener side wall may taper at about 60°. The driver side wall may taper at about 60°. Alternatively, the driver side wall may taper at an angle at least 10° less than the taper angle of the recess side wall, such as 42°. The drive side transition defines a drive angle, which may be between 0° and 5°.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for mounting a tyre on a rim or demounting a tyre from a rim. The method includes the steps of rotating the wheel (tyre/rim assembly) by an electric motor about an axis, checking the current consumption of the electric motor during the mounting and demounting operation, and continuously and automatically adjusting a specific combination of torque and speed of the electric motor during the mounting/demounting operation. The apparatus for mounting a tyre on a rim or demounting a tyre from a rim comprises an electric motor for rotating the wheel (rim/tyre assembly) about an axis, a sensing device for sensing the motor current and transmitting corresponding signals to a control device and an adjustment controller for continuously and automatically adjusting a specific combination of torque and speed of the electric motor during the mounting/demounting operation.

Abstract: A reversible ratchet wrench includes a moveable pawl connected to a handle via a linkage such that the pawl cannot become disengaged from the hand during operation of the wrench. The handle is pivotally attached to housing forming a portion of a head of the wrench, where pivoting of the handle between a first position and a second position switches a position of a pawl between a first position and a second position to thereby change an operating direction of the wrench. A distance of movement of a proximal end of the handle, opposite a head of the wrench, during switching is confined to a limited range by elongating the wrench head and extending a distance between a connection point of the handle to the pawl and the pivotal connection of the handle to the housing.
Abstract: A ratchet screw driver includes a holder, a toothed wheel, two pawls, a direction switch and a ring. The toothed wheel, the pawls and the ring are inserted in the holder. The pawls are biased from each other. Each of the pawls includes a boss and a toothed face. The direction switch is connected to the holder, movable between two positions relative to the holder, and formed with two bosses. The ring includes two cutouts and two hooks. The cutouts receive the bosses so that the ring is rotatable with the direction switch. One of the hooks is engaged with the boss of one of the pawls to firmly engage the toothed face of the remaining one of the pawls with the toothed wheel when the ring is moved to one of the positions by the direction switch.

A retaining clip retains the selector switch in the second cavity. The retaining clip extends into the first cavity. The pawl includes a first extended portion and a second extended portion extending from a lower end of the pawl. At least a portion of the retaining clip is disposed between the first extended portion and the second extended portion. The first extended portion and the second extended portion contact the lower surface of the first cavity. An upper end of the pawl contacts the cover plate.
