  • Patent number: 5951310
Abstract: A card insertion hole is formed in a side wall of a base portion of an apparatus body. A card storage portion for storing a PC card is provided in the base portion. The card storage portion has a case to which a PC card is inserted, and an end opening portion of the case is opposed to the card insertion hole with a predetermined distance therebetween. A frame-like cover member is arranged between the opening portion and the card insertion hole, thereby covering the gap between the opening portion and the card insertion hole. A card insertion path for communicating the card insertion hole with the opening portion of the case is defined in the cover member. A lid member for opening/closing the cover insertion hole is provided at the cover member.

  • Patent number: 5941737
Abstract: A double retaining connector having a terminal retaining member (4) movably mounted in an intermediate portion of a connector housing (1) having terminal receiving chambers (17). Cam pins (5) are formed on opposite side surfaces of the terminal retaining member to drive the terminal retaining member between a stand-by position, in which terminal receiving portions in the terminal retaining member communicate respectively with the terminal receiving chambers, and a retaining position, in which terminal retaining portions (6) engage the terminals. A detection member (8) having cam bars (9) with slide surfaces (cam groove 10) for engagement with the associated cam pin, is removably attached to a rear end of the housing. A short-distance movement of the terminal retaining member (4) from the stand-by position into the retaining position is effected through a long-distance movement of the detection member (8) in a direction parallel to the axes of the terminals.

  • Patent number: 5913692
Abstract: An electric power cable locking device is provided including a first electrical cord having a male plug. Associated therewith is a second electrical cord having a female plug. A housing has a top half and a bottom half which are hingably coupled and have a locking mechanism for selectively precluding access to an interior space of the housing. The plugs of the first and second electrical cord are interconnected within the interior space of the housing. At least one teeth assembly is formed of a pair of plates coupled at bottom edges thereof to an inner surface of one of the halves of the housing with a generally a V-shaped vertical cross-section. An interior surface of the plates has a plurality of teeth formed therein. At least one teeth assembly engagement mechanism includes a pair of strips each having a bottom edge mounted to an inner surface of the other half of the housing with the strips extending away from each other.

  • Patent number: 5888093
Abstract: An electrical connector panel mounting system includes a panel having a given thickness between two surfaces and including a first opening formed with at least one radially extending locating portion and a second opening spaced from the first opening. A connector includes a dielectric housing inserted from one surface of the panel along an axis to an insertion position into the first opening in the panel. The housing has at least one radially extending locating flange for passing through the locating portion of the first opening as the housing is inserted thereinto. At least one radially extending stop flange is spaced axially and angularly from the locating flange for abutting the one surface of the panel when the locating flange clears the opposite surface of the panel. The housing is rotatable about the axis from its insertion position to a mounted position whereat the locating flange can abut the opposite surface of the panel to prevent axial removal of the housing back out of the first opening.

  • Patent number: 5882217
Abstract: A coaxial jack with an internal switch mechanism includes a cylindrical shell having an axial front opening, and an elongate center conductor supported coaxially inside the shell. A back end of an elongate resilient switch contact is fixed by a switch contact support at a back portion of the shell on one side of the shell axis. The switch contact extends inside the shell toward the front opening at a certain inclination and has a free end located on a side of the shell axis opposite the one side. The switch contact is configured and positioned to make an electrical connection with the center conductor in the absence of a mating plug. An elongate actuator is supported on the inner periphery of the shell and has an engaging part that protrudes into a defined plug travel path inside the shell.
