Abstract: Representative embodiments provide for an imaging apparatus including a controller, a first imaging engine and a second imaging engine, each coupled with the controller and configured to form images on sheet media, and a nip assembly configured to pass a sheet media. The imaging apparatus including a circuit electrically coupled to the nip assembly and coupled with the controller, the circuit configured to provide a length signal to the controller corresponding to a length of a sheet media passed through the nip assembly, and wherein the controller is configured to control normal operation of the second imaging engine in correspondence to the length signal. Also provided is a method, including imaging a first side of a sheet media, passing the sheet media through a nip assembly, determining a length of the sheet media, and selectively imaging a second side of the sheet media in correspondence to the length.

Abstract: A two-dimensional parity method and system that provides three-disk fault tolerance in an array of disks, such as a RAID system, is presented. The method includes arranging strips containing data in the disk array into horizontal and diagonal parity sets, each parity set including at least one data strip as a member and no single data strip is repeated in any one parity set. The diagonal parity sets are then grouped into two groups of diagonal parity sets—Group 1 and Group 2—such that each data strip is a member of a unique diagonal parity set in Group 1 and a unique diagonal parity set in Group 2. Horizontal XOR parities are calculated and stored in a designated disk. Diagonal XOR parities are calculated and at least some of the diagonal XOR parities are stored in a designated disk. The remaining diagonal parities are stored in a diagonal parity stripe so that diagonal parity can be retrieved in the event of a disk failure.

Abstract: A system and method for configuring an integrated information system through a common user interface are provided. A user accesses a graphical user interface and selects client, premises, location, monitoring device, and processing rule information. The graphical user interface transmits the user selection to a processing server, which configures one or more monitoring devices according to the user selections.
