  • Patent number: 6793467
Abstract: The present invention relates to a thick matter pump comprising at least two pump units alternating in the pump and suction mode, a delivery line, a suction line and a switching valve for switching between the pump units, one pump unit being connected in the pump mode by the switching valve to the delivery line, and one pump unit being connected to the suction line in the suction mode. The filling level of the pump unit in the suction mode is to be improved. To this end a pressure boosting device which acts independently of the pump units is provided in the area of the suction line for actively effecting a precompression of thick matter. The invention also relates to a suction/pumping method which is carried out by said thick matter pump.

  • Patent number: 6565329
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to offer an electric type swash plate compressor which is compact and reduced in weight and lightened, and which can efficiently cool down a motor chamber and a crank chamber. The compressor has an electric motor and a swash plate, which are respectively accommodated in the motor chamber and the crank chamber. In the compressor a communication route, which communicates a part except the discharge chamber communicating with an external refrigerant circuit in an inner refrigerant circuit within an outer casing with the motor chamber, is formed. The communication route is formed so as to pass through the crank chamber, and the refrigerant in lower temperature and lower pressure than discharge refrigerant is supplied into the motor chamber and the crank chamber. Accordingly, the improvement of cooling efficiency and the reduction of pressure resisting strength of the casing can be performed.

  • Patent number: 6517326
Abstract: In a conventional blowing apparatus, vibration is increased depending upon a combination of rotor magnetic poles, the number of stator salient poles and blades of a fan. In a blowing apparatus comprising a stator having a core including a M-number of salient poles, and a rotor having permanent magnets having a P-number of magnetic poles rotatably disposed such as to be opposed to magnetic pole surfaces of the stator, the stator and the rotor, in combination, forming a motor for rotating a fan having a N-number of blades, mN≠nM or mN≠nP is satisfied. With this feature, a synergism between vibration generated by cogging torque of the motor and vibration generated by rotation of the fan is moderated, and vibration and noise are reduced.

  • Patent number: 6435840
Abstract: An electrostrictive micro-pump is provided for controlling a fluid flow through a cannula or other narrow liquid conduit. The micro-pump includes a pump body having a passageway for conducting a flow of fluid, a pump element formed from a piece of viscoelastic material and disposed in the passageway, and a control assembly coupled to the viscoelastic material for electrostatically inducing a peristaltic wave along the longitudinal axis of the pump element to displace fluid disposed within the pump body. The control assembly includes a pair of electrodes disposed over upper and lower sides of the pump element. The lower electrode is formed from a plurality of uniformly spaced conductive panels, while the upper electrode is a single sheet of conductive material. A switching circuit is provided for actuating the conductive panels of the lower electrode in serial, multiplex fashion to induce a peristaltic pumping action.
