Abstract: An electronic device associated with a media-providing service has one or more processors and memory storing instructions for execution by the one or more processors. For each track of a plurality of tracks consumed by a user of the media-providing service, the electronic device receives, over a time window, an indication of user selection of the track to compile a listening history of the user and determines, based on the listening history of the user with the media-providing service, whether the track has previously been consumed by the user. The electronic device determines, for the user, a discovery score corresponding to an average preference of the user for selecting previously unconsumed tracks. In response to determining that an amount of use of the media-providing service by the user does not satisfy a use threshold, the electronic device forgoes recommending tracks to the user based on the discovery score.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for dynamically generating a search set for use in a search application, such as a search engine, and using the search set to navigate collections of archived content. A request for user interface data is received from a client device in response to the client device attempting to access a domain. The domain may be parsed to identify a search category corresponding to one of the categories stored in a data store. Subcategories and search collections that are associated with the search category are identified and user interface data may be generated that cause at least a portion of the subcategories and search collections associated with a search component to be rendered in a display of the client device. The search component is configured to use a selected one of the at least a portion of the subcategories to narrow a search conducted using the search component by generating a narrowing search query.

Abstract: Examples provided herein involve a playback history for media items played by playback zones of a media playback system. An example implementation involves a mobile device querying, via a network interface, a database hosted by one or more servers for a particular portion of a playback history stored in the database, the particular portion of the playback history corresponding to media items played by the media playback system during the particular time period. The mobile device displays graphical representations of the particular media items played during the particular time period by the media playback system. The mobile device may receive input data selecting one or more particular media items played during the particular time period by the media playback system and add the selected one or more particular media items to a queue.

In an embodiment, a computer system may instantiate a graphical user interface (GUI) to display folder and sub-folder contents as well as a folder key. A user may input a folder key as a representation of the displayed sub-folder of the corresponding folder path. The folder key may include one or more symbols that the computer system may store and associate with the folder path. Using the folder key, the computer system may retrieve a particular sub-folder, manage security or permissions related to folders, and/or facilitate navigation between sub-folders. Using a folder key may aid a user in quickly navigating to a particular sub-folder and may allow a computer system to avoid loading unnecessary intermediate sub-folders as a user navigates to a particular desired sub-folder.
