  • Patent number: 11160045
Abstract: A base station distributed unit may determine that a first uplink timing advance value for a first cell of a wireless device is different than a second uplink timing advance value for a second cell of the wireless device. The first cell and the second cell may belong to a first timing advance group. The base station distributed unit may transmit a first message to a base station central unit in response to the determining. The first message may comprise one or more information elements indicating a reconfiguration of a timing advance group configuration for the wireless device. The base station distributed unit may receive a radio resource control message from the base station central unit based on the reconfiguration for the wireless device.

  • Patent number: 11102763
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for multiplexing of uplink channels in a shared radio frequency spectrum band. Techniques may provide for segmenting uplink resources into multiple different sets of uplink resources, each set of uplink resources having one or more associated uplink control channel resources. A base station or user equipment (UE) may select a set of uplink resources from the multiple sets of uplink resources for uplink transmissions from the UE based on a location of the uplink control channel resources of the set of uplink resources relative to other allocated uplink resources of the UE. Uplink control information (UCI) may be multiplexed with one or more uplink shared channel transmissions of a UE for transmission to a base station in certain circumstances.

  • Patent number: 11039477
Abstract: Various examples and schemes pertaining to NB-IoT physical random access channel (PRACH) resource partitioning and multiple grants in random access response (RAR) for early data transmission (EDT are described. A network node schedules multiple grants for EDT during a random access (RA) procedure with a user equipment (UE). The network node transmits to the UE a message indicating the multiple grants mapped to a maximum broadcast transport block size (TBS) configured for each of one or more preamble resource of a plurality of preamble resources. The UE calculates a TBS that fits an uplink (UL) data packet of the UE. The UE selects one or more PRACH resources for EDT for the TBS based on a wireless communication coverage of the UE by the network node. The UE transmits to the network node in the RA procedure a first message (Msg1) indicating the selected one or more PRACH resources.

  • Patent number: 11032193
Abstract: Presented herein is an “In-situ OAM” (IOAM) mechanism that uses a Segment Routing-Multiprotocol Label Switching (SR-MPLS) IOAM segment identifier that can selectively collect IOAM data from “target” network nodes along a data packet path. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving, at a first network node in the SR-MPLS network, a data packet that includes an MPLS label stack comprising a plurality of segment identifiers (SIDs) associated with a plurality of network nodes. The MPLS label stack includes a first SID associated with the first network node. The method includes determining whether the first SID is an IOAM SID or a regular SID. Upon determining that the first SID is the IOAM SID, the method includes implementing an IOAM function at the first network node. Upon determining that the first SID is the regular SID, the method includes processing the data packet without implementing an IOAM function.

  • Patent number: 11019467
Abstract: Systems and methods for maintaining and dynamically updating an inactivity timer at a user equipment to detect a one-way audio or mute call to improve call experience are disclosed. The method enables the user equipment to perform an action (e.g., enable, disable, drop call, don't drop call, etc.) when a one-way audio or mute call is detected. Instead of hardcoding values for the timer and/or action parameters within the user equipment (for example, by an original equipment manufacturer (OEM)), these parameter values can be dynamically determined and communicated to the user equipment by a telecommunications service provider based on one or more of the following factors: network health, network congestion, current events, type of call (emergency v. non-emergency), type of customer (business, premium, residential, etc.), service-level agreement, and so on.
