  • Patent number: 10080306
Abstract: An apparatus includes a clamping assembly configured to receive and secure a component in or to a support structure. The clamping assembly includes first and second side rails configured to be coupled to the support structure. The clamping assembly also includes at least one first clamp. Each first clamp is mounted to one of the side rails and is configured to slide along that side rail. Each first clamp is also configured to apply at least one first clamping force to the component in a first direction. The clamping assembly further includes at least one second clamp. Each second clamp is mounted to one of the side rails and is configured to slide along that side rail. Each second clamp is also configured to apply at least one second clamping force to the component in a second direction different from the first direction.

  • Patent number: 10066867
Abstract: A refrigerator includes a refrigerated compartment and a drawer having a drawer slide, a door and a quick release mechanism. The drawer slide allows the drawer to slide into and out of the refrigerated compartment, and the door selectively seals the refrigerated compartment. The quick release mechanism removably couples the door to the drawer slide. The quick release mechanism includes a latch and a keeper. The latch is pivotally coupled to one of the door and the drawer slide, and the keeper has a slot for receiving the latch.

  • Patent number: 6764148
Abstract: A latch arrangement for a drawer includes a latching mechanism having a latch element and a latching mechanism-receiving structure formed as part of a drawer. The structure includes two integral spring elements for biasing the latching mechanism upwardly. The latching mechanism and the drawer have cooperating, snap-engageable retaining features that allow the latching mechanism to move over a vertical range of movement but retain the latching mechanism on the structure. The structure and the remaining portions of the drawer can be molded as a unitary plastic part. The latching mechanism can be molded as a second unitary plastic part.

  • Patent number: 6718698
Abstract: An improved hurricane and earthquake connector for buildings that has a solid front face as a fire-stop, and lower part for attachment to the top plate or wall sheathing of a wall. Attached to either side of the front face are perpendicular rafter tabs for connection to adjacent roof rafters. Below the rafter tabs are double bends, spacers, and plate tabs for attachment to the top of the top plate. The double bends and spacers allow the front face to completely block the opening between adjacent rafters and the roof and top plate, even on houses having different heel heights between the roof arid top plate. Above the rafter tabs are perpendicular sheathing tabs that can attach to the roof with bolts. Along side the sheathing tabs are gussets, parallel and planer to the rafter webs, for additional strength. Bolts can connect the roof tie from above the roof to adjacent connectors effectively tying down the roof to the rafters, and top plate.

  • Patent number: 6616253
Abstract: A garment holding device for providing additional storage space on a closet door. The garment holding device includes a housing having a back wall, and a peripheral wall extending away from and attached to the back wall. The peripheral wall has an outer edge defining an opening into the housing. The back wall has a generally rectangular shape such that the peripheral wall includes a pair of lateral sides, a top side and a bottom side. A door is hingedly coupled to a first of the lateral sides of the peripheral wall and is selectively positioned between a closed position generally covering the opening in the housing and an open position. A pair of hinges is attached to the back wall and is positioned generally adjacent to the first side wall. Each of the hinges is attached to a vertical wall for hingedly coupling the housing to the vertical wall.

  • Patent number: 6615745
Abstract: A shelving and attachment system provides for the completely concealed attachment of hollow, built up shelves to a wall or similar structure. The present system may be used for the attachment of a single shelf to a single wall structure, or may be used to secure a series of shelves to a single wall or to two or more adjacent walls. The hollow shelves of the present shelf system preferably include at least one vertical rib therein, extending between the top and bottom panels or surfaces of the shelf for greater structural strength. One or more relatively thin wall mounted cleats, or alternatively, deeper built up cleat boxes for greater shelf support, provide for shelf attachment, with the edges of the shelf box structure fitting over the edges of the cleats. Two or more sides of the shelf structure may be left open, to engage a corresponding number of cleats.
