Abstract: The invention relates to an organization comprising a plurality of serving entries and a plurality of persons liable to come into contact with said serving entities, an installation for making a plurality of subfiles taken from a global file containing information relating to each person, each subfile being associated with a corresponding serving entity and being based on contacts made between said people and said serving entities.
Abstract: There is disclosed a bar code processing system in which a plurality of vertically aligned sensing devices are positioned adjacent a moving document on which is located a plurality of dot matrix printed coded bars. Each of the sensing devices is positioned so as to sense one of the matrix dots which form the coded bar and output an analog signal whose signal level varies directly in accordance with the ink intensity of the sensed dot. Signals are then amplified, filtered and converted to digital signals which are then examined. If a predetermined number of dots in the bar have been sensed and of the dots sense, no more than two dots are found to be separated by more than one blank space where a dot would normally be located, a signal is generated indicating that a valid bar has been sensed. These signals are then used in decoding the bars sensed.
Abstract: An improved remote meter reading system is disclosed comprising apparatus for transmitting UHF AM interrogating signals from an interrogating mobile or central station to a remote transponder station, and apparatus for retransmitting UHF FM data signals from the energized transponder to the mobile or central interrogating station. The interrogating station further includes apparatus for validating that the UHF FM data signals received are in fact the UHF FM data signals actually sent by the remote transponder selected by the interrogating or central station.
