Abstract: This disclosure comprises a solution that can sort objects based on values under various circumstances for the purpose of grouping objects and determining recommended placement or disposition of the objects. An object can be assigned a monetary value, a sentimental value, and a practical value. The practical value can be entered individually for the object via the web or virtual assistant access to the object inventory. The practical value can also be estimated via sensors on or proximate to the object that can sense activity related to the object.

Abstract: Disclosed is a business model generation support method for proposing a new business model. A computer receives a first business model and a second business model, and adds, for the plurality of business models, a first activity and a second activity which are respectively performed by the first and second business models to first information that predefines jobs performed by the business models as activities. Next, the computer adds the relation between a first data item and the first activity and the relation between a second data item and the second activity to second information that predefines the relation between the activities and the data items used for performing the activities. The first and second data items are used for performing the first and second activities, respectively. Then, the computer searches the second information to obtain a third activity including both the first data item and the second data item.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for asset tracking through specialized connectors and specialized casing units are provided. An example system includes an asset tracking device and a specialized casing unit to house the asset tracking device and to connect the asset tracking device to a communication port of an asset. The asset tracking device includes a communication port interface to interface with the communication port of the asset directly, and to interface with the communication port of the asset through the specialized casing unit. The asset tracking device further includes a controller to determine whether the asset tracking device is interfaced with the communication port of the asset directly or through the specialized casing unit, and when it is determined that the asset tracking device is interfaced with the communication port of the asset through the specialized casing unit, configure the asset tracking device to operate in a specialized operating mode.

Abstract: An information management apparatus starts a conversation with a chatbot on an information processing terminal in response to a received chat start instruction, and based on the content of the conversation, sends recommend information related to a service to the information processing terminal. The information management apparatus sends pass information that enables access to user information received from the information processing terminal, the pass information being sent to an information processing device that corresponds to a provider of the service, when information indicating a desire to use the service is received from the information processing terminal in response to the recommend information. The information management apparatus deletes the user information when receiving from the information processing device, acknowledgment indicating that the service can be provided to the user that corresponds to the user information accessed using the pass information.

Abstract: A mission-specific computer peripheral provides a portable linkable work platform, useful for establishing a collaborative electronic work group quickly, at low cost, and without professional computing expertise. The office infrastructure device (“OID”) includes data storage (for storage of system and user data files), a unique device identification code (for identification when the device is plugged into a host personal computer), and an index (for registering user data files available within the work group). When connected, user executable code within the device is accessed through the host personal computer to launch thereon a user-definable work space. The work space provides, among other office infrastructure functions, access to programming that enables sharing of personal user work and data files among the authorized member nodes of the work group. The sharing is facilitated by the index, preferably in combination with a complementary work group server integrated within the underlying OID network.

Abstract: A promotion processing system may include a remote device and a promotion server. The promotion server may be configured to generate a promotion within a social media feed. The promotion may be associated with a given product brand. The promotion server may be configured to operate a chatbot conversation on the remote device corresponding to the promotion. The chatbot may be operated to determine a recommended product within the given product brand, validate a purchase of the recommended product, and permit redemption of the promotion based upon validation of the purchase.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a software defined networking in a wide area network (SD-WAN) device, comprising a network monitor which observes and gathers network parameters reflecting network conditions and stores them to a database; a metrics collector which receives and gathers node parameters reflecting node status stores them to the database, a traffic manager which performs a traffic evaluation on the network parameters or node parameters to identify if a network traffic level is within a performance range, and a policy engine which performs a mitigation evaluation on the analysis done by the traffic manager to determine if a mitigation strategy must be initiated. If a mitigation strategy must be initiated, the policy engine determines a target node to receive the mitigation strategy and translates the mitigation strategy into a format understandable to the target node and pushes a mitigation command containing the mitigation strategy to the target node.

A representation of the first input signal is computed and sent to a server. A handle function is applied to the representation of the first input signal to compute a first handle value corresponding to the first input signal. The representation of the first input signal is transformed using a cognitive processing model of an answer function to compute a first answer value. A content of the cache is modified by the proxy by storing the first answer value in association with the first handle value in the cache.

Abstract: Lightweight, dynamic mechanisms are provided to support service layer interworking and resource extensibility. For example, one mechanism disclosed herein comprises defining a new service layer (SL) resource definition registration procedure that allows for specifying custom attributes of service layer resources to represent third party technology resources. A second mechanism disclosed herein comprises defining a new SL data model mapping registration procedure to map service layer resources to third party data models and to provide a new interworked retargeting indicator to the service layer. Further, a third mechanism disclosed herein comprises defining a SL generic interworking procedure to intelligently retarget requests toward interworked resources based on the interworked retargeting indicator provided by the data model mapping.

Abstract: Recommending applications is disclosed. An application graph is disclosed that represents applications. Each node of the graph corresponds to an application and edges relate applications that can handle the same file type. When an input application is identified, the graph can be used to recommend other applications that may be a suitable replacement for the input application. The recommendation is based on the graph and its links and on characteristics of the organization.

Abstract: Methods and systems for identifying manufacturer-specific controller-area (CAN) data for a vehicle type are provided. Manufacturer-specific CAN data may be identified by processing defined CAN data having a correlation relationship with the target data and undefined manufacturer-specific CAN data for determining if there is a correlation relationship therebetween. Also provided are methods and systems for identifying and automatically collecting manufacturer-specific CAN data for a vehicle type.
