A user interface receives user input requesting transmission of the media content to another electronic device at a user input reception location. A location detector determines whether the media content capture location and the user input reception location are substantially different locations. One or more processors at least temporarily preclude, in response to the user input, the transmission of the media content to the other electronic device when the location detector determines that the media content capture location and the user input reception location are substantially different locations.

Abstract: An illustrative network management system obtains sensor data from one or more sensors at a network facility at which network equipment of a communication network is deployed. The sensor data includes image data representing imagery of the network facility. The system determines a utilization of a utility at the network facility based on the sensor data and performs, based on the utilization, a management operation for the communication network. Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for enhancing communications mobility in an enterprise a distributed communication controller. The distributed communication controller integrates user devices and conference equipment and provides the user with directions within an enterprise to an appropriate location to conduct a conference call. The distributed communication controller determines that a conference meeting is about to begin and determines a location of the user device. Based on a capability of the user device and the requirements of the conference meeting, the distributed communication controller sends navigation instructions that direct the user to a location in an enterprise facility to successfully conduct a conference call. The navigation instructions are provided in real time as the user moves throughout the facility.

Abstract: Systems maintain synchronicity among elements intended to be displayed at various points during a live media stream. At a multimedia player, start playback of a live media stream. The systems receive input from a user selecting a new time of the media stream to playback, which is different than the current playback time of the media stream. The systems adjust playback of the media stream to restart at the new selected time, such that the current playback time of the output media stream is updated to the new selected time. The systems monitor the current playback time of the media stream as adjusted. The systems determine a user-initiated command to execute for displaying one or more visual elements at the multimedia player by polling a command manifest file based on the current playback time as adjusted.

Abstract: A computing system providing virtual computing services may generate and manage remote computing sessions between client devices and virtual desktop instances (workspaces) hosted on the service provider's network. The system may implement a virtual private cloud for a workspaces service that extends out to gateway components in multiple, geographically distributed point of presence (POP) locations. In response to a client request for a virtual desktop session, the service may configure a virtual computing resource instance for the session and establish a secure, reliable, low latency communication channel (over a virtual private network) between the resource instance and a gateway component at a POP location near the client for communication of a two-way interactive video stream for the session. The availability zone containing the POP location may be different than one hosting the resource instance for the session. Client devices may connect to the gateway component over a public network.

The method comprises: acquiring a data request packet transmitted by a requesting user (S11); based on a target data request packet acquired by a supplying user from the data request packet, transmitting hotspot information provided by the supplying user to the requesting user corresponding to the target data request packet, and establishing a hotspot leasing contract between the requesting user and the supplying user (S12). Therefore, demand docking is provided for both parties of leasing and selling by means of the data request packet, so that users with excess data provide data to users with data gaps. Urgent needs of one or more surrounding users are solved, near-field social contact for mutual assistance is established, and data utilization is improved.

A compute includes a plurality of types of V1 to V4, a data collection unit that collects a resource allocation amount of V1 to V4, and a resource control unit that performs autoscaling to increase or reduce the amount of resources of V1 to V4 according to a resource control amount. A controller includes a dependency calculation unit that calculates, based on the collected resource allocation amount, a degree of dependency indicating whether the resource allocation amount is dependent on a performance related to V1 to V4 for providing a communication service quality, and an autoscaling determination unit that obtains a resource control amount for increasing or reducing only resources related to the calculated degree of dependency indicating being dependent.

The method comprises defining a set of personas, selecting a network generation model, defining a network topology and generating the synthetic data. The set of personas is defined based on a number of the plurality of entities and/or a type of at least one of the plurality of entities. The network generation model is selected based on the defined set of personas and the aggregate dataset related thereto. The generated network topology comprises nodes and links between nodes using the selected network generation model. The node represents one of the personas in the set of personas. The link between two nodes represent one or more transactions between the personas represented by the two nodes. The generated synthetic data is based on information about distribution of the one or more transactions.

Next, the computer adds the relation between a first data item and the first activity and the relation between a second data item and the second activity to second information that predefines the relation between the activities and the data items used for performing the activities. The first and second data items are used for performing the first and second activities, respectively. Then, the computer searches the second information to obtain a third activity including both the first data item and the second data item.

Abstract: A mission-specific computer peripheral provides a portable linkable work platform, useful for establishing a collaborative electronic work group quickly, at low cost, and without professional computing expertise. The office infrastructure device (“OID”) includes data storage (for storage of system and user data files), a unique device identification code (for identification when the device is plugged into a host personal computer), and an index (for registering user data files available within the work group). When connected, user executable code within the device is accessed through the host personal computer to launch thereon a user-definable work space. The work space provides, among other office infrastructure functions, access to programming that enables sharing of personal user work and data files among the authorized member nodes of the work group. The sharing is facilitated by the index, preferably in combination with a complementary work group server integrated within the underlying OID network.
