  • Patent number: 11410154
Abstract: In some examples, methods and systems may process one or more payment transactions between a merchant and a customer by obtaining at least one payment proxy having a syntax including a monetary currency indicator preceding an alphanumeric character. The payment proxy may be transmitted by a transmitter component of a payment beacon device. The method includes generating, through an application accessed through the customer device, a message by identifying the payment proxy in a message and a money transfer amount in the message; parsing the payment proxy to identify the merchant associated with the payment proxy in the message; identifying a merchant financial account associated with the identified merchant, based on a stored association between the merchant financial account and the identified merchant; and initiating, by the payment processing system, a transfer of funds indicative of the money transfer amount from a financial account of the customer to a financial account of the merchant.

  • Patent number: 11361315
Abstract: Example embodiments of systems, methods, and computer-accessible mediums for transaction authorization are provided. An exemplary system can comprise a card including an input device and a display device in data communication with a server. The server can generate an authorization passcode upon an initiation of a transaction session, and the card can receive an entered passcode through the input device, display the entered passcode on the display device, and transmit the entered passcode to the server for comparison to the authorization passcode. Upon a determination that the entered passcode is a match for the authorization passcode, the server can transmit a match notification indicating the transaction session is valid, and upon a determination that the entered passcode is a mismatch for the authorization passcode, the server can transmit a mismatch notification terminating the transaction session.

  • Patent number: 11244317
Abstract: Examples of the disclosure enable a financial transaction to be automatically confirmed based on a similarity of factors between financial transactions. A previous case action may be used for a decision of confirming a financial transaction. A first request for authorization of a first financial transaction is received from a financial transaction processing computing device. One or more parameters associated with a cardholder account are identified, and it is determined, at a transaction score device, whether to approve the first request for authorization based on the one or more identified parameters. On condition that the first request for authorization is approved, the one or more parameters are updated based on one or more first factors associated with the first financial transaction such that a second request for authorization of a second financial transaction is analyzable based on the one or more updated parameters.

  • Patent number: 11227266
Abstract: As the world progresses towards a cashless payment society, there has been a rise in the various forms of emerging payment technologies. Such technologies may include digital wallet payment systems. There is a need for a bridging protocol and conversion engine that would connect gaps between these various emerging payment technologies and their respective proprietary ecosystems. There is also a need for a digital holding account that provides a protective layer to fund transfers between cashless ecosystems. The digital holding account may hold and monitor currency processed by the conversion engine. Such currency would not be transferred directly into checking account. The digital holding account may be subject to rigorous validations to scrutinize the source and destination of transferred currency. Validation may include checking distributed ledger transaction records of prior transfers of the received currency.

  • Patent number: 11113689
Abstract: The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer implemented methods for transaction auditing. One example method includes receiving receipt data associated with an entity. Policy questions associated with the entity are associated with at least one policy question answer that corresponds to a conformance or a violation of a policy selected by the entity. For each policy question, a machine learning policy model is identified for the policy question that includes, for each policy question answer, receipt data features that correspond to the policy question answer. The machine learning policy model is used to automatically determine a selected policy question answer to the policy question by comparing features of extracted tokens to respective receipt data features of the policy question answers that are included in the machine learning policy model. In response to determining that the selected policy question answer corresponds to a policy violation, an audit alert is generated.

Abstract: Stolen identity refund fraud is one of a number of types of Internet-centric crime (i.e., cybercrime) that includes the unauthorized use of a person's or business' identity information to file a tax return in order to illegally obtain a tax refund from, for example, a state or federal revenue service. Because fraudsters use legitimate identity information to create user accounts in tax return preparation systems, it can be difficult to detect stolen identity refund fraud activity. Methods and systems of the present disclosure identify and address potential fraud activity. The methods and systems analyze data entry characteristics of tax return content that is provided to a tax return preparation system to identify potential fraud activity and perform one or more risk reduction actions in response to identifying the potential fraud activity.
