  • Patent number: 6633105
Abstract: A permanent magnet motor having a stator and a permanent magnet rotor facing the stator with a gap therebetween, the stator having a plurality of stator magnetic poles extending radially toward a peripheral surface of the rotor, s number of small stator teeth formed on a tip end of each of the magnetic poles, and exciting windings of m phases wound around the stator magnetic poles. The rotor having a cylindrical permanent magnet having pieces of N pole and pieces of S pole arranged alternately in a peripheral direction thereof at equal pitches, wherein a pitch of the small stator teeth is 1±1/(2ms) times larger than a pitch of the rotor magnetic pole pairs. The width of the small stator tooth is 37˜47% of the magnetic pole pitch. A depth of the groove formed between the adjacent small stator teeth is more than 15 times larger than the length of the air gap between the stator and the rotor.

  • Patent number: 6628025
Abstract: A motor includes (a) a cylindrical frame made of ferromagnetic material, (b) a pipe fitted in and disposed within the frame concentrically, (c) a sintered bearing press-fitted into the pipe, (d) a cylindrical magnet fixed on an outer wall of the pipe at an inner wall of the magnet, and (e) a cylindrical coil facing the magnet via an annular space, where the frame and the pipe are welded at a fitted section therebetween. This structure allows the motor to withstand a strong enough shock. An apparatus requiring a vibration motor can employ this motor having a large vibrator, so that great vibrations are available for the apparatus. As a result, the apparatus—utilizing the great vibrations as various functions—is obtainable.

  • Patent number: 6603235
Abstract: A brush unit includes a carbon brush 1, a substantially straight brush arm 2 for holding the carbon brush 1, and a brush base 3 connected to the brush arm 2. The brush base 3 is provided with a receptacle terminal 5 formed by cutting and raising the brush base 3, and thereby the brush base 3 is formed with a base hole 6 corresponding to the receptacle terminal 5. The brush unit is installed to a case cover 4 at two locations of a fixing portion in which the brush arm 2 is fixed to the brush base 3, and a brush base end portion integral with a base portion of the receptacle terminal 5, so that noise is reduced by decreasing a vibration component in an axial direction of the motor at a sliding portion at which the carbon brush 1 slides with-respect to a commutator at the time of motor rotation, and also brush tension is not changed when outside terminals are inserted through outside terminal insertion holes.

  • Patent number: 6548926
Abstract: The subject of the invention is a linear displacement actuator which includes a male part and a female part. One part includes a screw thread and the other part includes at least one peripheral rib which collaborates with the screw thread. The inside diameter of the female part, increased by the depth of the screw thread, is greater than the outside diameter of the male part. The female part bears linear actuators arranged at right angles in a support and is free to be displaced axially with respect to the male part. The linear actuators place the female part in sinusoidal vibration in two perpendicular directions with an appropriate phase shift between the vibrations, and displaces, rotation-wise, the line of contact between the screw thread and the at least one peripheral rib. The screw thread and the peripheral rib remain motionless in terms of rotation and therefore bring about relative linear displacement of the female part and of the male part.

  • Patent number: 6384505
Abstract: A stator comprises plural stacked silicon steel plates having aligned axle holes. An auxiliary plate is superimposed on the stacked silicon steel plates and comprises an axle hole aligned with the axle holes of the silicon steel plates. Each silicon steel plate comprises even-numbered radial arms each having a magnetic pole face at a distal end thereof. The auxiliary plate comprises auxiliary radial arms, wherein the auxiliary radial arms and the radial arms of the silicon steel plates are alternately disposed. Form on a distal end of each auxiliary radial arm is a magnetic pole face that extends vertically, the magnetic pole face being appropriately spaced from the magnetic pole faces of the radial arms of the silicon steel plates. The magnetic pole faces of the auxiliary radial arms of the auxiliary plate and the magnetic pole faces of the silicon steel plates have different widths or thicknesses.
