  • Patent number: 6876099
Abstract: In one aspect, the present invention is a technique of, and a system for monitoring and/or controlling the operation of a wind power installation. In one embodiment, the present invention includes a control apparatus for operational management of the wind power installation using data which is representative of the oscillation of a support tower (for example, a pylon). The present invention also includes a device to detect oscillations of the support tower (using, for example, the acceleration measuring devices coupled to the support tower or resistance strain gauges disposed on the support tower). In this regard, the device to detect oscillations of the support tower may determine, for example, the oscillation travel and/or the absolute deflection of the support tower (for example, pylon that supports, among other things, the pod and rotor blades) in the upper part of the tower out of its rest position.

  • Patent number: 6703744
Abstract: A generator-motor for a vehicle includes a rotor having a rotor core and a plurality of permanent magnets and a stator having a stator core and an armature winding. The rotor core has a plurality of axially extending through-holes in a circumferential direction thereof to accommodate the permanent magnets and to increase circumferential magnetic reluctance thereof to form a plurality of auxiliary pole portions disposed between the through holes. The stator core has a plurality of teeth radially extending at equal intervals in a circumferential direction to face the rotor core. Each of auxiliary pole has a circumferential width that is 30%-55% of a circumferential width of each tooth. The minimum torque of the generator motor can be increased while torque ripple is reduced.

  • Patent number: 6555939
Abstract: An improved structure for a high efficiency DC motor is disclosed. The DC motor is a motor with built-in field windings, its center shaft is set up in a non-ferromagnetic base which has three equally spaced confinement slots formed around its outer peripheral surface for installing three stacks of laminated silicon steel sheets, a field winding is wound over each laminated silicon steel sheet stack thereby forming a three split phase DC motor. A control unit composed of a commutator assembly and a hollow stationary base is connected in cascade with the motor field so as to drive and control the motor operation. A plurality of motors can be connected in cascade on a common center shaft to form a bulk motor unit operated by one control unit.

  • Patent number: 6515400
Abstract: Disclosed is a flat coreless vibrator motor for supporting a vibration calling mode in a mobile communication device. The invention provides a flat coreless vibrator motor capable of preventing the formation of an idle point, thereby obtaining a high average torque, and thus, a high efficiency, while providing a sufficient redundant space for installing a weight for an increased centrifugal force. The flat coreless vibrator motor comprises a stator including a flat field magnet having a plurality of alternate N and S magnetic poles, a rotor spaced apart from the field magnet by a predetermined distance to rotate freely, and a brush for supplying a current to the coils via the commutator of the rotor. The rotor includes at least three coreless armature coils and a commutator connected to the coils, and at least two of the armature coils are integrally formed together at a same position to form a non-coil section in the rotor.

  • Patent number: 6455965
Abstract: In a spindle motor in which its weight is decreased while maintaining the rigidity of a bearing to a large value, the widthwise dimension of a bearing cartridge assembly 11 is set so that the upper outer ring end portion 12b of the outer ring 12 of the bearing cartridge assembly 11 protrudes from a hub main body 6A. Since the lengthwise dimension of a hub 5A is smaller than that of a prior art, the weight and cost can be decreased that much. Further, the lengthwise dimension of the hub 5A is smaller than that of the prior art, a space portion is increased and the space portion can be employed as a space for arranging various kinds of members. Since the upper outer ring end portion 12b protrudes from the hub main body 6A, fitting pressure is not exerted on the upper outer ring end portion 12b of the outer ring 12 upon fitting, so that the generation of unnecessary deformation or the like can be avoided.
