Abstract: Granular product of parahydroxybenzoic acid or its ester which exhibits well suppressed dusting and caking tendency and a process for preparing the product are provided. The granular product of parahydroxybenzoic acid or its ester according to the instant invention has an average particle size of equal to or more than 150 &mgr;m and a hardness of 10-3000 g. The granular product of the invention can be prepared by dry compressing powdery parahydroxybenzoic acid or its ester to give compressed material, pulverizing and classifying the material.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for the treatment of an aryl carbamoyl fluoride comprising in its molecule at least one perhalogenated aliphatic carbon, which carbon carries at least one halogen atom to be exchanged with fluorine. This process comprises the stage of bringing the said carbamoyl fluoride into contact with hydrofluoric acid, the ratio of hydrofluoric [lacuna] to carbamoyl fluoride being maintained during the reaction at a value at least equal to 4, preferably to 5, and characterized in that the said ratio is at most equal to 11. Application to organic synthesis.
Abstract: Methyl carbazate which is particularly pure and has a particularly low tendency toward discoloration is obtained from hydrazine and dimethyl carbonate if the two reactants are metered simultaneously into an initially introduced first solvent at from −20 to +30° C., the solvent and low-boiling components are then distilled off under reduced pressure, and then either a second solvent is added to the crude methyl carbazate present and this solvent is distilled off under reduced pressure or an inert gas is passed through the crude methyl carbazate present.
