Abstract: A set of inkjet inks with at least one of light magenta ink having high lightfastness magenta dye, a light cyan ink having high lightfastness cyan dye, light yellow ink having high lightfastness yellow dye and light black having high lightfastness black dye.
Abstract: The invention relates to aqueous pigment preparation containing an ionic alkoxylated styrene-phenol condensate or a mixture thereof with a hydroxy-terminated alkoxylated styrene-phenol condensate.
Abstract: In accordance with the invention a set of dyes suitable for use in ink-jet inks and method for formulating the same are provided. A specific dye set for formulating the yellow, cyan, magenta, and optionally black inks is disclosed, comprising Direct Yellow 132, Direct Blue 199, Magenta 377, and optionally Pacified Reactive Black 31 dyes, respectively. This dye set provides ink-jet prints able to match printed color standards such as specification for web offset publications (SWOP) and Euroweb, with excellent lightfade and pen reliability performance.

Abstract: An ink composition comprising(i) a medium comprising a mixture of water and one or more water-soluble organic solvent(s), an organic solvent, or a low melting point solid; and(ii) a dye of Formula (1) or salt thereof: ##STR1## wherein: each X.sup.1 independently is a labile or non-labile substituent;each T independently is --O--, --S-- or --NR.sup.1 --;each L.sup.1 independently is a divalent organic linker group;each V.sup.1 independently is a group which is capable of undergoing an addition reaction or an elimination and addition reaction;each R.sup.1 independently is H or optionally substituted alkyl;Z is the residue of a coupling component; andm and n are each independently 0 or 1.
Abstract: An acidic substitutional plating bath for zinciferous surfaces, particularly zinciferous metal-plated steel sheet, with which sludge production and equipment corrosion are inhibited and which has an improved heavy metal ion deposition efficiency is provided by an aqueous composition that has a pH of 2 to 4.5 and that contains 1.5 to 40 g/L of at least one heavy metal ion selected from nickel, iron, and cobalt; 0.5 to 10 g/L of phosphate ions; 1 to 250 g/L of sulfate ion; and 1 to 20 g/L of organic acid.
Abstract: Colorant preparations, in particular printing inks, contain compounds of the formula ##STR1## in which the substituents have the meanings given in the description as an additive. The additive substantially prevents the undesirable "build-up" in printing.
Abstract: A washable ink composition is provided which is an aqueous mixture containing water soluble, ester-terminated, poly(alkyleneoxy)-substituted methine colorant of the formula: ##STR1## wherein: AR is an unsubstituted or substituted aromatic or hetero-aromatic group; X is nitrogen or oxygen; R is unsubstituted or substituted straight or branched alkylene of 2-4 carbons or mixtures thereof; R.sub.1 is H or an unsubstituted or substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl or phenyl moiety containing one to about 10 carbons, or a group of the formula: ##STR2## wherein: R.sub.3 is H or alkyl of one to about ten carbons, and d is zero when X is oxygen and one when X is nitrogen; R.sub.
