Abstract: A system and method for timely maintaining or establishing an R-P connection after a mobile station (MS) roams from the control of an old base station controller (BSC) to that of a new BSC is provided. The process may be initiated during a registration process of the MS, during an origination process, or during a termination process. A Mobile Service Center (MSC), Visitor's Location Register (VLR), or the MS may be used to store the packet data call status information including point to point protocol (PPP) session status information and configuration information about an old BSC including its related cells and PDSNs. In some cases, this information may also be transferred to the new BSC through a BSC to BSC connection.

Abstract: This invention relates to a communication terminal device. In order to realize a communication terminal device which improves the operational efficiency and the usability remarkably comparing to a conventional one, an operation key is designed to be rotated, pushed, and slid, and the movement direction or the movement amount of the cursor can be changed when the operation key is slid, so that the cursor can reach at a desired item quickly. As a result, the rotating amount to reach at a desired item can be reduced comparing to a conventional one. Therefore, a communication terminal device which improves the operational efficiency and the usability remarkably comparing to the conventional one can be realized.

Abstract: A method of automatically adaptively assigning color codes to radio channels in the wireless network. The method comprises the steps of assigning an initial color code to a channel using a propagation prediction technique and automatically optimizing the initial color code assignment of the channel using radio disturbance measurement data when an alternate color code with the least amount of disturbance is identified.

Abstract: A system and method for capturing and modifying roaming mobile subscriber information such as Serving MSCID, cell and sector location information, original dialed digits, subscriber profile and return address point code in support of service applications, such as wireless prepaid service for roaming subscribers. A network platform is inserted into the signaling path between a roaming subscriber's HLR and all Serving MSCs. The network platform intercepts messages exchanged between the roaming subscriber's Serving MSC and HLR, and extracts and stores information such as Serving MSCID, cell and sector data. The network platform may also modify the exchanged messages in support of service applications.
