Abstract: A turbine shroud includes a panel having a forward end, an opposite aft end, and a middle therebetween. Cooling holes extend through the panel for channeling cooling air therethrough. The holes are arranged in a pattern of greater density aft of the panel middle than forward of the panel middle for effecting preferential cooling.
Abstract: The locking device comprises resilient repulsion means (58) which react between a fixed body (16) and one or more rolling members (42) and which tend to urge these members in the direction of wedging between two wedging surfaces (34, 36) associated with the body (16) and with the rod (12) of the actuator (10), respectively. A control piston (48) is arranged so as to engage the rolling members (42) in order to urge them in the release direction under the effect of a thrust exerted on the piston in the opposite direction to the force exerted by the resilient means (54).
Abstract: A drive system for a mobile operating device. The drive system includes a drive motor driving a first variable-delivery hydraulic pump which is in fluid engagement with a first hydraulic motor, the first hydraulic motor being part of a hydraulic travelling drive. A second hydraulic motor drives at least one second variable-delivery hydraulic pump which is in fluid engagement with an operating hydraulic system for implementing device-specific functions.
Abstract: A gas turbine rotor, in which a plurality of discs having teeth of a bevel gear are juxtaposed to engage the teeth and are integrally fastened by a bolt extending through the discs, so that the discs may be cooled by feeding cooling air to the air passages of the individual discs sequentially at the running time, is provided whereby the cooling air is prevented from leaking by means having no wear.
