  • Patent number: 11032392
Abstract: A network-based service may schedule requests received from clients according to information regarding prior requests from the client included the requests. When a request is received at a network-based service, information regarding the request, and possibly other prior requests, may be included in response for the request sent to the client. The client may then include that information in a subsequent request to the network-based service. An evaluation of the information may determine a scheduling decision for the request and the request may then be processed according to the scheduling decision.

  • Patent number: 11003501
Abstract: This disclosure relates to model loading. In one aspect, a method includes determining, based on a preset execution script and resource information of multiple execution nodes, loading-tasks corresponding to the execution nodes. Each execution node is deployed on a corresponding cluster node. Loading requests are sent to the execution nodes, thereby causing the execution nodes to start execution processes based on the corresponding loading requests. The execution processes start multiple model service frameworks on each cluster node. Multiple models are loaded onto each of the model service frameworks. Each loading request includes loading-tasks corresponding to the execution node to which the loading request was sent. The execution processes include a respective execution process for each model service framework.

  • Patent number: 11003482
Abstract: Some embodiments provide novel methods for performing services for machines operating in one or more datacenters. For instance, for a group of related guest machines (e.g., a group of tenant machines), some embodiments define two different forwarding planes: (1) a guest forwarding plane and (2) a service forwarding plane. The guest forwarding plane connects to the machines in the group and performs L2 and/or L3 forwarding for these machines. The service forwarding plane (1) connects to the service nodes that perform services on data messages sent to and from these machines, and (2) forwards these data messages to the service nodes. In some embodiments, the guest machines do not connect directly with the service forwarding plane. For instance, in some embodiments, each forwarding plane connects to a machine or service node through a port that receives data messages from, or supplies data messages to, the machine or service node.

  • Patent number: 10965551
Abstract: Inducements are provided to customers to regularly connect back to a service provider and report usage that is expressed using a count of requests from a local computing device for cloud-based operations such as packet routing, container instantiation, virtual machine (VM) utilization, calls to a service or application, and the like. The count information is reported within a secure context, such as a trusted execution environment (TEE), using public-private key pair cryptography by which key derivation is dependent on some form of counting. For example, a customer computing device that is subject to a usage license encrypts an operation count and reports it to the service provider.

  • Patent number: 10944704
Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems for reducing the sizes of electronic messages in a conversation. A client device processor may generate a message that includes a conversation identifier (convo-id) header field and determine whether the generated message is a first message in the conversation. The client device processor may generate a convo-id value and include the generated convo-id value in the convo-id header field of the generated message in response to determining that the generated message is the first message in the conversation. The client device processor may set the convo-id value of convo-id header field of the generated message equal to the value of a convo-id header field of a previous message in response to determining that the obtained message is not the first message in the conversation.

  • Patent number: 10924549
Abstract: Techniques for providing data version comparison between trans-time zone sites. One example method includes target data and a corresponding time stamp is received from each trans-time zone site. Each of the time stamps are based on a respective time zone of a sending trans-time zone site from which the target data and the time stamp were received. Each of the received time stamps are modified based on the respective time zone of the sending trans-time zone site for the time stamp and a time zone of the central server. The received target data is compared from each of the trans-time zone sites to stored target data based on the modified corresponding time stamp. A latest version of the target data is stored by the central server having a modified corresponding time stamp that is greater than each of the other modified corresponding time stamps.

  • Patent number: 10911450
Abstract: An augmented reality device engages in a mutual exchange of negotiated services with another device with a signal determined to have exhibited an area transition effect. The augmented reality device identifies, from a plurality of signals in the ambient environment, a subset of signals that have exhibited the area transition effect. From among the subset, the device identifies a signal that is indicative of support for the negotiation protocol. The negotiation is conducted with a second device associated with the corresponding signal.

  • Patent number: 10862793
Abstract: A network device receives a data packet including a source address and a destination address. The network device drops the data packet before it reaches the destination address and generates an error message indicating that the data packet has been dropped. The network device encapsulates the error message with a segment routing header comprising a list of segments. The first segment of the list of segments in the segment routing header identifies a remote server, and at least one additional segment is an instruction for handling the error message. The network device sends the encapsulated error message to the remote server based on the first segment of the segment routing header.
