  • Patent number: 7761863
Abstract: A method, computer program product, and system for segmenting a software application program into a set of separately executable images. The method including segmenting program binary images of the application program into sub-execution units to be distributed to run in each device of a team as part of a single event-driven runtime process with a single main program linear contiguous code address space and a single main program linear contiguous data address space. The program sub-execution units containing executable code, and data; and each sub-execution unit containing one linear contiguous address space subset segment of the main program code, and one linear contiguous address space subset segment of the main program data; and running a unification engine on each said device of said team of devices to synchronize and serialize events as needed across the formed team of devices that drive said single event-driven runtime process.

  • Patent number: 7698694
Abstract: Methods and systems of transforming an AND/OR command tree into a command data model are described. An unsimplified command data model is generated from the AND/OR command tree by expressing the AND/OR command tree as a command tree using elements of EBNF (Extended Backus-Naur-Form) notation. Selected structures within the unsimplified command data model are simplified to create a simplified command data model. The simplified command data model is refined into a refined command data model by allowing renaming of selected elements of the command data model. The renaming is based on user-specified instructions.

  • Patent number: 7689975
Abstract: A plurality of source files and one or more header files are provided. The header files that contain information that several of the source files refer to. The original files are preprocessed, each to generate a respective preprocessed file, said preprocessing comprising expanding the several of the source files with the information from a first header 5 file. A collective processing step is applied to make coordinated changes to information from the preprocessed files. The changed preprocessed files are used to regenerate modified source and header files. For regenerating the first header file, one of the preprocessed files is selected on the basis of detection that the selected file elaborates the information from the first header file. The first header file is regenerated from the information in the selected file.

  • Patent number: 7617479
Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and computer instructions for generating service frameworks are provided by aspects of the present invention. One aspect of the present invention provides a system library, which includes strongly typed classes that enterprise applications may use in order to obtain code assist and compile time checking from IDE tools typically used by enterprise application developers. Another aspect of the present invention provides the ability to define platform independent models that enable service use cases in order to determine what basic services are needed by the enterprise application. Yet another aspect of the present invention includes an integrated generator that generates the strongly typed components and skeleton code from the platform independent models by applying best practice pattern usage for the target platform currently used with the system library functions.
