  • Patent number: 11871317
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for controlling a data interchange between a control device of a motor vehicle and an external device. The motor vehicle has multiple vehicle functions each having at least one associated subservice. Based on the subservice, the respective vehicle function is performed and the data interchange with the external device takes place independently of the activity of the vehicle function. If the control device receives a deactivation signal for one of the vehicle functions, it deactivates this at least one vehicle function and checks whether one of the subservices is associated with at least one other vehicle function that is currently activated. If a subservice is not associated with a currently activated vehicle function, this subservice is deactivated, as a result of which the data interchange between the control device and the external device is terminated by this subservice.

  • Patent number: 11831373
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for channelizing and beamforming a wideband waveform are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for transmitting and receiving wideband waveforms that are beamformed on a per-channel basis during generation of the wideband waveforms. A transmitter may separate a first wideband signal into segments, with each segment bandwidth corresponding to a channel of the system bandwidth, and may map the segments to channels. The segments may be replicated to generate multiple copies of each segment. The transmitter may beamform and combine the copies of the segments to generate multiple wideband waveforms, and transmit each wideband waveform using a different antenna. A receiver may receive multiple wideband waveforms using multiple antennas and may separate each wideband waveform into segments, then beamform and de-map the segments. The techniques may be used to transmit and receive beamformed wideband waveforms over tactical data links.

  • Patent number: 11818719
Abstract: Embodiments herein include a method in a user equipment (UE) for transmitting uplink control information in time slots of a subframe over a radio channel to a radio base station. The uplink control information is comprised in a block of bits. The UE maps the block of bits to a sequence of complex valued modulation symbols. The UE block spreads the sequence across Discrete Fourier Transform Spread-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (DFTS-OFDM) symbols. This is performed by applying a spreading sequence to the sequence of complex valued modulation symbols, to achieve a block spread sequence of complex valued modulation symbols. The UE further transforms the block-spread sequence, per DFTS-OFDM symbol. This is performed by applying a matrix that depends on a DFTS-OFDM symbol index and/or slot index to the block-spread sequence. The UE also transmits the block spread sequence, as transformed, over the radio channel to the radio base station.

  • Patent number: 11814062
Abstract: To identify driving event sounds during navigation, a client device in a vehicle provides a set of navigation directions for traversing from a starting location to a destination location along a route. During navigation to the destination location, the client device identifies audio that includes a driving event sound from within the vehicle or an area surrounding the vehicle. In response to determining that the audio includes the driving event sound, the client device determines whether the driving event sound is artificial. In response to determining that the driving event sound is artificial, the client device presents a notification to the driver indicating that the driving event sound is artificial or masks the driving event sound to prevent the driver from hearing the driving event sound.

  • Patent number: 11800538
Abstract: Techniques for configuring a network system including base stations that support wireless backhaul are discussed herein. To provide network coverage for a new rural area with low network capacity requirements, a service provider may initially deploy a limited network configured with wired base stations that uses fiber links as backhaul. The limited network may have large coverage gap due to the time and cost associated with deploying fiber cables. In such low traffic areas, the system may reserve a portion of available frequency bands to use as wireless backhaul and configure wireless nodes to use the backhaul provided by the reserved frequency bands. The system may configure the existing wired base stations to serve as donor nodes to provide network link for the wireless nodes. The system may deploy a network of these wireless nodes to rapidly fill in coverage gaps.
