Patent number: 11172473Abstract: Embodiments herein include a method in a user equipment (UE) for transmitting uplink control information in time slots of a subframe over a radio channel to a radio base station. The uplink control information is comprised in a block of bits. The UE maps the block of bits to a sequence of complex valued modulation symbols. The UE block spreads the sequence across Discrete Fourier Transform Spread-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (DFTS-OFDM) symbols. This is performed by applying a spreading sequence to the sequence of complex valued modulation symbols, to achieve a block spread sequence of complex valued modulation symbols. The UE further transforms the block-spread sequence, per DFTS-OFDM symbol. This is performed by applying a matrix that depends on a DFTS-OFDM symbol index and/or slot index to the block-spread sequence. The UE also transmits the block spread sequence, as transformed, over the radio channel to the radio base station.Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 2019Date of Patent: November 9, 2021Assignee: Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (publ)Inventors: Robert Baldemair, David Astely, Dirk Gerstenberger, Daniel Larsson, Stefan Parkvall

Patent number: 11146327Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for machine learning models for adjusting communication parameters. In some implementations, data for each terminal in a set of multiple satellite terminals is obtained. A machine learning model is trained based on the obtained data. The model can be trained to receive an indication of a geographic location and predict a satellite beam capable of providing at least a minimum level of efficiency for communication at the geographic location. After training the machine learning model, an indication of a predicted satellite beam for a particular location is generated for a particular geographic location. A determination is then made whether to change the current satellite beam for a terminal at the particular geographic location based on the predicted satellite beam.Type: GrantFiled: December 29, 2017Date of Patent: October 12, 2021Assignee: Hughes Network Systems, LLCInventors: Amit Arora, Archana Gharpuray, John Kenyon

Patent number: 11113910Abstract: Embodiments of the present application disclose an anti-passback method, apparatus and system. A plurality of access controllers are communicatively connected to a server. After detecting that a card reader has successfully read an identifier of an access card, an access controller sends the identifier of the access card, an identifier of the card reader, and its own identifier to the server. The server searches for the identifier of the card reader that read the access card last time, and the identifier of the access controller corresponding to the card reader, and determines a route for the door opening request. When the determined route exists in a preset list of routes, the sever sends a door opening instruction to the access controller. The route list may include routes between doors under the control of the plurality of access controllers.Type: GrantFiled: November 2, 2016Date of Patent: September 7, 2021Assignee: HANGZHOU HIKVISION DIGITAL TECHNOLOGYInventor: Wei Chen

Patent number: 11082101Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for channelizing and beamforming a wideband waveform are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for transmitting and receiving wideband waveforms that are beamformed on a per-channel basis during generation of the wideband waveforms. A transmitter may separate a first wideband signal into segments, with each segment bandwidth corresponding to a channel of the system bandwidth, and may map the segments to channels. The segments may be replicated to generate multiple copies of each segment. The transmitter may beamform and combine the copies of the segments to generate multiple wideband waveforms, and transmit each wideband waveform using a different antenna. A receiver may receive multiple wideband waveforms using multiple antennas and may separate each wideband waveform into segments, then beamform and de-map the segments. The techniques may be used to transmit and receive beamformed wideband waveforms over tactical data links.Type: GrantFiled: October 10, 2019Date of Patent: August 3, 2021Assignee: ViaSat, Inc.Inventors: Michael T.
