  • Patent number: 9553655
Abstract: A method for receiving data by a relay station (RS) in a wireless communication system includes: receiving radio resource allocation information via an R-PDCCH (R-Physical Downlink Control Channel); and receiving data from a base station (BS) via an R-PDSCH (R-Physical Downlink Shared Channel) indicated by the radio resource allocation information, wherein the radio resource allocation information includes information regarding an allocation of resource blocks in a frequency domain and information regarding an allocation of OFDM symbols in a time domain. Since the radio resource allocation information providing information regarding a time relationship between a control channel transmitted by the BS to a UE and a control channel transmitted by the RS to a UE connected to the RS is provided, the RS can reliably receive a signal transmitted from the BS in a backhaul link between the BS and the RS in a wireless communication system including the RS.

  • Patent number: 9544208
Abstract: This invention relates to a method for enhancing the quality information of a VoIP session by deducting information from received ICMP messages, in addition to quality information already collected from media streams and/or signaling streams of the same VoIP session. ICMP messages passing on the network link are monitored and correlated with an existing and ongoing VoIP session, i.e. media stream, already monitored by a media plane monitoring unit. A data record for the media stream(s) is expanded with information from the ICMP messages, thus giving a better and more complete quality feedback of the media stream reception at the two communication endpoints.

  • Patent number: 9525518
Abstract: A method for generating Acknowledgement/Negative Acknowledgement (ACK/NACK) information at a user equipment in a wireless communication system. The method according to one embodiment includes receiving a plurality of transport blocks through a plurality of downlink carriers from a base station. Each of the plurality of downlink carriers carries two or more transport blocks. The method according to the embodiment further includes generating the ACK/NACK information by concatenating ACK/NACK bits corresponding to the plurality of transport blocks. The ACK/NACK bits are concatenated using an index order of the downlink carriers and an index order of the two or more transport blocks associated with each of the downlink carriers. The index order of the downlink carriers is used firstly.

  • Patent number: 9497726
Abstract: Devices and methods used in a wireless network employing geographical routing using virtual node locations. Such virtual node locations can be computed by a central computer that gathers information from some or all of the nodes. Each node may, for example, identify itself and its neighbors and provide a value indicative of the radio frequency (RF) distance to such neighbors. Examples of RF distance indicators include, but are not limited to, received signal strength indication (RSSI) and packet success rate (PSR). Geographic coordinates for none or some of the nodes may also be used to determine the virtual coordinates.

  • Patent number: 9438538
Abstract: A system for matching data using flow based packet data storage includes a communications interface and a processor. A communications interface receives a packet between a source and a destination. The processor identifies a flow between the source and the destination based on the packet. The processor determines whether some of packet data of the packet indicates a potential match to data in storage using hashes. The processor then stores the data from the most likely data match and second most likely data match without a packet header in a block of memory in the storage based on the flow.

  • Patent number: 9419737
Abstract: A control network communication arrangement includes a second protocol embedded into a first protocol in a way that modules supporting the second protocol may be aware of and utilize the first protocol whereas modules supporting only the first protocol may not be aware of the second protocol. Operation of modules using the second protocol does not disturb operation of the modules not configured to use or understand the second protocol. By one approach, the messages sent using the second protocol will be seen as messages sent using the first protocol but not having a message necessary to understand or as needing a particular response. In another approach, modules using the second protocol can be configured to send messages within a CAN message frame without being compatible with CAN.

  • Patent number: 9413510
Abstract: A method apparatus and system for efficiently transmitting and receiving channels are provided in a wireless communication system based on Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM). A multiplexing scheme differs according to a channel when a transmitter transmits a packet data channel, a common control channel and a control channel designated for a particular user. Uncoded 1-bit information is broadly dispersed in frequency and time domains using multiplexing technology for maximizing diversity gain in a channel for transmitting information of at least one bit to a particular user like an acknowledgement (ACK) channel. The transmitter converts a sequence obtained by multiplexing multiple bits to be transmitted to a plurality of users to parallel signals, and broadly disperses the parallel signals in the time and frequency domains.
