  • Patent number: 11089603
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and embodiments related to wireless communication in an environment with electromagnetic interference. In some embodiments, during an initial interconnection setup between a transmitting wireless local area network (WLAN) and a receiving WLAN device, and a first frame or packet is wirelessly transmitted or received by the wireless device. An electromagnetic signal from nearby devices that interferes with wireless transmission is detected. Based on the detection of the wireless transmission interference, the wireless communication parameter is changed to increase communication throughput, and a second frame or packet is wirelessly transmitted or received.

  • Patent number: 11082112
Abstract: A repeater generates repetition signals by repeating an uplink signal over a plurality of subframes. If the plurality of subframes do not include a transmission candidate subframe of a sounding reference signal used to measure uplink reception quality, a controller sets a first transmission format to all the plurality of subframes, and if the plurality of subframes include the transmission candidate subframe, the controller sets a second transmission format to all the plurality of subframes. A transmitter transmits the repetition signals using the set transmission format.

  • Patent number: 11019551
Abstract: In one embodiment, an interference-management system of a multi-hop wireless network may access an interference map indicating interference among a plurality of network nodes of the multi-hop wireless network. The interference-management system may determine, for a first pair of network nodes of the multi-hop wireless network, a plurality of adjustments to one or more beamforming weights associated with beamforming antennae of the first pair of network nodes to reduce interference among the network nodes of the multi-hop wireless network, wherein the plurality of adjustments correspond to a respective plurality of communication paths connecting the first pair of network nodes on the multi-hop wireless network. The interference-management system may exclude one or more adjustments from the plurality of adjustments based on a determination that the one or more adjustments correspond to one or more unsuitable communication paths, respectively.

  • Patent number: 11018756
Abstract: Methods and systems are described for providing end-to-end beamforming. For example, end-to-end beamforming systems include end-to-end relays and ground networks to provide communications to user terminals located in user beam coverage areas. The ground segment can include geographically distributed access nodes and a central processing system. Return uplink signals, transmitted from the user terminals, have multipath induced by a plurality of receive/transmit signal paths in the end to end relay and are relayed to the ground network. The ground network, using beamformers, recovers user data streams transmitted by the user terminals from return downlink signals. The ground network, using beamformers generates forward uplink signals from appropriately weighted combinations of user data streams that, after relay by the end-end-end relay, produce forward downlink signals that combine to form user beams.

  • Patent number: 11012288
Abstract: A system can reduce congestion in slice-based networks, such as a virtual service network (“VSN”). The system can include a monitoring module that communicates with agents on switches, such as routers or servers. The switches report telematics data to the monitoring module, which determines slice-specific performance attributes such as slice latency and slice throughput. These slice-specific performance attributes are compared against software license agreement (“SLA”) requirements. When the SLA is not met, the monitoring module can implement a new slice path for the slice to reduce the congestion.

  • Patent number: 10979247
Abstract: Computing devices and methods for transmitting and receiving optimized tunneling IP packets. At the entry point of a tunnel, an IP packet comprising at least one header is received. If data comprised in one of the at least one header of the received IP packet are redundant with data comprised in one or more tunneling header of a tunneling IP packet, then the redundant header is removed from the received IP packet. The tunneling IP packet encapsulating the received IP packet (with its redundant header removed) is transmitted. A header removal field is positioned in the tunneling IP packet to indicate the positive determination of redundancy. At the exit point of the tunnel, the tunneling IP packet is received. The header removal field and the one or more tunneling header of the tunneling IP packet are used for identifying the previous determination of redundancy and recreating the removed header.

  • Patent number: 10973028
Abstract: An access system for a wireless local area network is provided. The access system initiates operation in a first frequency band of a plurality of frequency bands of the wireless local area network to provide one or more wireless client devices of the wireless local area network with access to a wireless wide area network. The access system also processes one or more association requests received in the first frequency band to identify one or more associated wireless client device. The access system also determines whether each of the one or more associated wireless client devices supports a second frequency band. The access system also sends a request to the one or more associated wireless client devices to transition from the first frequency band to the second frequency band based on determining that each of the one or more associated wireless client devices supports the second frequency band.

  • Patent number: 10932278
Abstract: It is recognized herein that, in some cases, URLLC transmissions may preempt a scheduled eMBB transmission. Thus, in accordance with one embodiment, resources are allocated for URLLC data transmission in a manner that minimally impacts eMBB data transmissions. In an example code block groups are configured for efficient multi-bit A/N feedback. Multi-bit A/N methods are disclosed with and without explicit resource allocation. Various preemption mechanisms are also described herein including, for example, puncturing, dropping the tail end of a transport block, and increasing rate matching.

  • Patent number: 10917212
Abstract: A method of default Quasi-Co-Location (QCL) assumption for Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) reception in NR network is proposed. When PDSCH is scheduled by a DCI over PDCCH after a Scheduling Offset, the spatial RX filter for the PDSCH reception can be determined according to a QCL indication conveyed by the DCI. When the Scheduling Offset for PDSCH reception scheduled by DCI is less than a time duration, then a default QCL assumption is applied. UE assumes that the DMRS ports of PDSCH of a serving cell are QCLed with the RS(s) with respect to QCL parameter(s) used for PDCCH QCL indication of a CORESET. The CORESET is associated with a UE-monitored search space in the latest slot with the lowest CORESET-IF on an active BWP on the serving cell.
