  • Patent number: 9764912
Abstract: A removable media tray with an adjustable rear tray extension operable by a rear media restraint. The tray extension is slidably attached to a front section of the tray via a cam having a locking arm engaged in a J-slot. When in the curved portion of the J-slot the front section and tray extension are locked together. A rear media restraint slidably latching to a track in the bottom of the tray has a locking lobe that engages with a locking notch on the cam. As the media restraint is slid toward the rear, the locking lobe initially rotates the cam moving the locking arm to the straight section of the J-slot, then the locking lobe engages with the locking notch, locking the media restraint to the tray extension. Thereafter, the media restraint and tray extension move together until the end of the J-slot is reached by the locking arm.

  • Patent number: 9754434
Abstract: Systems and methods of the invention relate to reducing a number of jams that can occur in an automated teller machine with the employment of a moveable platen that increases a width of a channel for documents. A document analysis area can receive a document via a first transport path, wherein the document analysis area can include a channel in which the document travels to enable at least one scan component to capture an image of the document. The channel is created by one or more platen. The one or more platen can be movable to increase the width of the channel so as to allow documents to pass through the document analysis area without causing a jam or error for the automated teller machine.

  • Patent number: 9751714
Abstract: A sheet fed from an image forming device to a path carry-in port is guided to a first accumulating section along a straight path or guided to a second accumulating section along a branch path branched from the straight path. A buffer path section is formed so as to make the sheet temporarily stay between a first sheet discharge roller pair disposed on the straight path side of the branch path at a position downstream of a branch portion and a second sheet discharge roller pair disposed in the branch path. The sheet staying in the buffer path section is conveyed to the first accumulating section by rotation of the first and second conveying rollers in one direction and to the second accumulating section by rotation of the first and second conveying rollers in an opposite direction to the one direction.

  • Patent number: 9751723
Abstract: A banknote-passing type banknote conveying device, used at a banknote inlet-outlet of an automatic teller machine, includes a mounting lateral plate, a banknote stacking mechanism, a banknote clamping and conveying mechanism, a pressing mechanism, a jacking mechanism, and a central control unit for controlling the operation of the above mechanisms. The banknote-passing type banknote conveying device uses a lifting motor and a connection rod to drive a lifting plate to move the banknotes up and down, and uses a pressing plate to move the banknotes back and forth. The functions of stacking and passing banknotes are achieved in an effective space. Moreover, a pull type electromagnet and a spring are used to control the opening and closing of the banknote clamping and conveying mechanism, thus a traditional motor control method and the like can be omitted, such that the cost is low, and the reliability is high.

  • Patent number: 9731520
Abstract: In a printing system, an attached-time remaining sheet amount at detecting attachment of a sheet feed tray to the printing system is detected. And current remaining sheet amount at end of image printing is detected. Then, it is determined whether the attached-time sheet remaining amount is greater than a first threshold value. In response to determination that an attached-time sheet remaining amount is greater than a threshold value and the current remaining sheet amount is less than or equal to the threshold value, a controller executes an alert process corresponding to controlling a display to display an alert. In response to determination that the attached-time sheet remaining amount and the current remaining sheet amount are equal to or less than the first threshold value, the controller inhibits executing the alert process.
