  • Patent number: 10327196
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for intelligent scheduling in hybrid networks based on client identity. For example, in one embodiment, the hybrid networks are cellular networks (e.g., LTE and CDMA 1X), and a cellular device uses a single-radio solution to support circuit-switched calls on a CDMA 1X network and packet-switched calls on LTE. Periodically, the cellular device tunes away from LTE and monitors CDMA 1X activity, and vice versa. The LTE network can infer the cellular device's tune away schedule, based on the device's identity, and the paging schedule algorithm of the CDMA 1X network.

  • Patent number: 10263894
Abstract: A method and apparatus for congestion control for acknowledged communication over networks detects congestion based on trends of flight size and transmission rate in order to adapt a congestion window in accordance with a detection result. Such congestion detection enables, for example, distinguishing between the congestion with or without unfair competition. Moreover, the measured transmission rate or its trend can be filtered to compensate for time variations. An end node or a proxy can be used for congestion control.

  • Patent number: 10171559
Abstract: A network device stores a Virtual Extensible Local Area Network (VxLAN) Tunnel Endpoint (VTEP) membership information that associates VxLANs each with a corresponding set of VTEPs authorized to originate VxLAN packets on that VxLAN. The network device receives from a communication network a VxLAN packet that identifies a VxLAN and an originating VTEP. The VTEP compares the originating VTEP to the set of VTEPs associated with the VxLAN in the VTEP membership information that matches the identified VxLAN. If the comparison indicates that the originating VTEP is not included in the set of VTEPs authorized to originate VxLAN packets, the VTEP discards the received VxLAN packet. Otherwise the VTEP further processes the VxLAN packet.

  • Patent number: 10051536
Abstract: Network connection is provided by a method is performed in a control node. An indication pertaining to at least partly transfer a data transmission service of a wireless device from using a first network access method to using a second network access method associated with a network node is received. The network node is associated with a compatibility version. The indication comprises a compatibility version of the wireless device for the second network access method. The compatibility version of the wireless device is compared to the compatibility version of the network node. It is determined if there is a version mismatch between the compatibility version of the wireless device and the compatibility version of the network node.
