    Abstract: A control device for a vehicle is provided. The control device includes an automatic transmission constituted of a stepwise variable transmission mechanism configured to switch a plurality of shift stages by engagement and disengagement of a plurality of friction engaging elements, an engine as a driving source, a motor configured to assist a driving force of the engine, a hydraulic controller configured to supply a hydraulic pressure to control the engagement and the disengagement of the friction engaging element, and a control unit configured to control the automatic transmission to a target speed ratio through changing the shift stage of the stepwise variable transmission mechanism. The control unit performs a learning control that learns at least one of hydraulic pressure of the engagement and the disengagement of the friction engaging element, and inhibits the assist of the driving force to the engine by the motor in performing the learning control.

    Abstract: A shift control system and a shift control method configured to execute a skip shift smoothly are provided. The shift control system selects an interim gear stage with reference to a control map. The control map is configured to determine: an intense region where a driver is allowed to sense an increase in the acceleration sufficiently based on an unconscious period, and a stimulation intensity; and a moderate region where acceleration is increased in a mild manner. During execution of the skip shift, the acceleration is increased in a mild manner by shifting the gear stage from an initial stage to the interim gear stage, and then increased significantly by shifting the gear stage from the interim gear stage to a target gear stage.

    Abstract: A powertrain system employing multiple propulsion torque actuators is described. A method for controlling the powertrain system includes interpreting a driver request, including determining a driver torque request and a regenerative braking request based upon driver inputs to an accelerator pedal and a brake pedal. A desired request is determined based upon the driver torque request and the regenerative braking request. Torque limits for the powertrain system are coordinated based upon the desired request, the driver torque request, and a previous driver torque request to determine upper and lower output torque limits, and the upper and lower output torque limits are combined with system constraints to generate a final torque request. The final torque request is employed to determine torque commands for the propulsion torque actuators, and the propulsion torque actuators are controlled based upon the torque commands for the propulsion torque actuators.

    Abstract: A neutral controlling method of a synchronizer includes: a primary moving step of moving a sleeve in one direction by a shift mechanism until the sleeve contacts a first stopper of a first clutch gear; a secondary moving step of moving the sleeve in the other direction by the shift mechanism until the sleeve contacts a second stopper of a second clutch gear; and a neutral position moving step of moving the sleeve to a neutral position between the two clutch gears. In particular, in the neutral position moving step, the sleeve moves in one direction as much as a half of a stroke and the stroke of the sleeve is a summed value of a straight distance between the first stopper and the second stopper with an invalid stroke formed due to a clearance between parts of the shift mechanism and the synchronizer.
