  • Patent number: 12586080
Abstract: A system and method for detecting trending topics in customer inquiries includes retrieving customer inquiries from a plurality of data sources for a target time window and reference time windows and detecting trending keywords in the target time window as compared to keywords in the reference time windows. Responsive to detecting the trending keywords, customer inquiries in the target time window that include one or more of the trending keywords are collected and a weight is measured for each collected customer inquiry based on weights of detected trending keywords in each collected customer inquiry. A connection graph is generated for the detected trending keywords and the collected customer inquiries. The detected trending keywords are then clustered into a plurality of trending topics based on the connection graph, and the trending topics are ranked based on the measured weights of the collected customer inquiries associated with each trending topic.

  • Patent number: 12579499
Abstract: An online system generates a request to transport a set of items from a source location to a destination location. The set of items includes at least one temperature-sensitive item. The system extracts a set of input features about the request to transport the set of items. The set of input features includes an estimated transportation time for transporting the set of items from the source location to the destination location. The system applies a machine learning model to the set of input features to output a score for the temperature-sensitive item, indicating a likelihood that the temperature-sensitive item will transition outside of a target temperature range before completing the transportation. Responsive to the method outputting the score above a threshold, the system adjusts the request and outputs the adjusted request to one or more computing systems, causing the one or more computing systems to display the adjusted request.

  • Patent number: 12524776
Abstract: Systems and methods for dynamically and automatically updating item prices on e-commerce platform are disclosed. In some embodiments, an item is offered for purchase with a current price on a website. When price elasticity data and predicted demand data for the item are both available, a first markdown price is generated for the item using a first model based on: the price elasticity data, the predicted demand data, and the current price. When the price elasticity data and the predicted demand data are not both available, a second markdown price is generated for the item using a second model based on: a decay rate, the current price, and availability of the predicted demand data. A bounded price is generated by applying an upper bound and a lower bound to either the first markdown price or the second markdown price; and transmitted to a computing device for updating the current price of the item on the website.

  • Patent number: 12505405
Abstract: Techniques for determining an estimated time of arrival associated with a pickup location are described herein. For example, a customer can order a good or service for pickup at a pickup location. In some examples, order data can include a pickup location intent, such as a drive-through location, a pickup window, or a parking location. A location of a user computing device can be determined and can be input to a machine-learning model trained to determine estimated times of arrival for a particular location. In some examples, the machine-learning model can be trained with ground truth data specific to the location for which the model is to determine estimated times of arrival. The machine-learning model can output the estimated time of arrival and can update the time at any regular or irregular intervals, which can be used to prioritize an order in an order queue.
