The ATM may retract the card based on a determination that a threshold amount of time has elapsed from the first time and that the card has not been removed. The ATM may eject the card at a second time after retracting the card. The ATM may retract the card based on a determination that the threshold amount of time has elapsed from the second time and that the card has not been removed. The ATM may provide the card to a card storage compartment of the ATM after retracting the card and based on a determination that the card has been ejected or retracted a threshold number of times.

Abstract: Aspects of the invention include a computer-implemented method, in which includes determining whether a combination of a first commodity and a computing system satisfies a manufacturing requirement. Additionally, whether a combination of a second commodity and the computing system satisfies the manufacturing requirement is predicted based at least in part on a comparison of the combination of the first commodity and the computing system and the combination of the second commodity and the computing system. Then either the first commodity or the second commodity is inserted into a computer system based at least in part on a comparison of an actual performance of the first commodity and a predicted performance of the second commodity in the computing system.

Abstract: One variation of a method for tracking fresh produce in a store includes: accessing a first hyper-spectral image, of a produce display in a store, recorded at a first time; extracting a first spectral profile from a first region of the first hyper-spectral image depicting a first set of produce units in the produce display; identifying a first varietal of the first set of produce units; characterizing qualities (e.g., ripeness, bruising, spoilage) of the first set of produce units in the produce display based on the first spectral profile; and, in response to qualities of the first set of produce units in the produce display deviating from a target quality range assigned to the first varietal, generating a prompt to audit the first set of produce units in the produce display.

Abstract: Systems and methods disclosed herein provide fraud mitigation via dynamic transaction card wireless communication. A mobile device may cause a dynamic transaction card to periodically scan its environment to detect wireless enabled devices proximately located near the dynamic transaction card. Based on identifying the wireless enabled devices frequently located near the dynamic transaction card, a set of approved devices may be determined. During a transaction, a dynamic transaction card may scan its environment for other wireless enabled devices proximately located near the dynamic transaction card. If wireless enabled devices detected by the dynamic transaction card are all, or a subset, of the devices that are frequently located near the card, then the transaction may be authorized. However, if the wireless enabled devices detected by the dynamic transaction card are not all, or a subset, of the devices that are frequently located near the card, then the transaction may be unauthorized.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed to facilitate payment of a restaurant bill via text message. For example, a text message having a restaurant bill code may be sent from a customer device to an MPS phone number. A restaurant network address may be extracted for a restaurant computing system. A query may be sent to the restaurant computing system using the restaurant network address with the restaurant bill code. In response, the restaurant computing system may send restaurant bill data that includes least one restaurant menu item, a price for the at least one restaurant menu item, and a total bill amount. A unique URL may be created that when entered into a web browser presents a webpage that includes at least the restaurant bill data. The unique URL may be used by the customer to pay the restaurant bill.

Abstract: A system that utilizes two different types of RFID data capture devices; at least one standard fixed RFID portal (e.g., one reader and two antennas) and at least one handheld or mobile RFID device in combination with passive RFID tags (i.e., transmitters). The system acquires, tracks, and reports asset location specific to a manufacturing plant and storage yard (i.e., the inventory), as well as production milestone events. GPS asset location data is tracked almost continuously and reported on demand.

Abstract: During recent years, chip-based transactions has been changing from mainly physical, like a chipcard, to mainly virtual, such as a software application on a mobile device. Although such mobile devices are very powerful compared to a conventional chip card, the data interactions with POI terminals must still be compliant with relevant specifications and standards such as the EMV standards. A computer implemented transaction method is provided that enables a first application to be switched with a second application whilst the transaction is in progress, and without loss of information relating to the transaction.

The system receives supply chain data including input signals comprising operational plans and observed supply chain operational metrics. The system automatically generates predicted supply chain operational metrics including a value at risk that is predicted for a product. The system automatically infers causal factors including a shipment of the product. The causal factors impact the predicted supply chain operational metrics. The system communicates a user interface for shipments of the product and the system receives input causing a change to a shipment of the product impacting the predicted supply chain operational metrics including the value at risk for the first product.
