In a case where the apparatus could not access the server, the apparatus stops the execution of the image output job. In a case where the apparatus could access the server and the image output job started as the first condition is satisfied, the apparatus saves a log relating to the image output job in the server and outputs image data. In a case where the apparatus could access the server and the image output job started as the second condition is satisfied, the apparatus starts generation of image data from a first page of a document, saves the log relating to the image output job in the server after generation of image data of all pages is completed, and outputs the generated image data.

Abstract: A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing a combination of programs including a first program and an operating system. The first program controls an image processing apparatus. The combination includes a first acquisition process in which the operating system acquires a setting candidate value after the operating system receives a selection operation selecting the first program under a condition that the image processing apparatus is selected as a target for requesting an image process and a condition that content data is selected as a subject for the image process by the second program. The combination includes a receiving process in which the operating system receives a setting value based on the setting candidate value, a second acquisition process in which the first program acquires the setting value received in the receiving process, and a transmission process in which the first program transmits a job to an image processing apparatus.

Abstract: A system and method for printer language emulation includes a microcomputer as an intermediary between devices using incompatible printer languages. The microcomputer intercepts an incoming job in a first printer language. The first printer language leads to a library call, and the returned library is used to emulate the first printer language to a printer language compatible with a target device. If source device and target device use compatible printer languages, the print job may bypass the microcomputer or pass through the microcomputer to the target device.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus generates print data in a first format and communicates with a printing apparatus, and obtains, from OS standard print software which operates in a computer, print data in a second format different from the first format and including document data, print setting by a user, and information related to paper indicating a paper size supported by the printing apparatus, converts the print data such that a size of the document data is converted in a case where a predetermined condition is satisfied, and generates the converted print data as the print data in the first format and sends the generated print data to the printing apparatus. The predetermined condition includes a condition that, among the information related to paper, one or more sizes associated with a regular size specified based on the print setting include an irregular size different from the specified regular size.

Abstract: A print driver store is usable for redirection printing in a virtualized computing environment that supports virtual desktops. Native print drivers are uploaded to the print driver store from a client side. When an agent attempts to instantiate a virtual printer at the agent side that corresponds to a physical printer at the client side, the agent checks to determine if a native print driver for the physical printer is installed at the agent side. If the native print driver is not installed, then the agent obtains the native print driver from the print driver store and installs the native print driver at the agent side. The agent completes the instantiation of the virtual printer at the agent side and associates the native print driver with the virtual printer.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a memory and a controller. The memory stores first mode information indicating whether the apparatus is set to a contract mode or a normal mode, and second mode information indicating whether a print permission mode is active or inactive. The controller sets the second mode information to active information indicating that the print permission mode is active in a state in which the first mode information indicates the normal mode, sets the second mode information to inactive information indicating that the print permission mode is inactive in a state in which the first mode information indicates the contract mode, and rewrites the second mode information to the active information when an instruction to activate the print permission mode is received in a state in which the first mode information indicates the contract mode and the second mode information is set to the inactive information.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure provide for improved print position compensation, for example to improve accuracy of print job(s) performed by a printer. The print position compensation enables an offset of the time until printing occurs on a print media to account for changes and/or erroneous movement in a print media, such as due to slippage and/or other results of a force applied to the print media. Particular embodiments determine data values derived both for an output phase and a retraction phase of the printer's operation. Various embodiments generate a print position compensation based on sensor-based edge position distances determined during each of a media output phase and a media retraction phase. Alternatively or additionally various embodiments generate a print position compensation based on sensor-based media movement phase timestamp differentials determined during each of a media output phase and a media retraction phase.

In this case, in the second reading mode, image data of an image with a resolution which is equal to that in the first reading mode is generated, while causing the reading units to read an image from a document which is transported by the transport device at a lower speed than that in the first reading mode.

Abstract: There is provided an image processing apparatus which is provided with a communication interface, and a controller.
