  • Patent number: 10349097
Abstract: A metadata editor processes the metadata track of a multimedia composition to synchronize the metadata track with a video track and identify any errors in the metadata track internally or relative to the video track. The metadata editor effectively divides the metadata track into segments, displays breaks on the video and metadata tracks to show the metadata segments relative to the video track, characterizes each segment as being either erroneous (e.g., warranting attention by the user) or consistent (e.g., not warranting attention by the user), and highlights erroneous metadata segments, e.g., by displaying erroneous metadata segments using a different color, pattern, or other visual indicator than consistent metadata segments. The metadata editor provides various mechanisms to allow the user to manipulate the metadata track in order to correct erroneous metadata segments.

  • Patent number: 10325145
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention comprise advanced techniques for automated analysis and benchmarking of media based on behavioral data, including emotional state information, collected for a plurality of computer users exposed to that media. According to embodiments, a comparative analysis can be performed relative to other media content, in which case a rapid objective assessment tool can be provided. Alternatively or additionally, the comparative analysis can be relative to the media under test itself, in which case the technique can provide immediate feedback, e.g., on whether the media has had the intended impact on its target audience. Comparative analysis can further assist to identify audience sectors where an impact (positive or negative) is observed.

  • Patent number: 10284838
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for transmitting images captured by first and second image sensors are disclosed. In some embodiments, each image sensor generates a plurality of pixel values each represented by a plurality of data bits having a pixel bit length. In some embodiments, a method involves combining pixel values generated by each of the first and second image sensors into a single image data stream, transforming the single image data stream into a plurality of data words having a word bit length, and encoding the data by selection of one of a plurality of symbols having an encoded bit length that is at least one bit longer than the word bit length to reduce a running disparity. The method also involves serializing the symbols to generate and transmit a DC balanced serial bitstream. Methods for synchronizing a receiver for extracting image data from the serial bitstream are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10277861
Abstract: Video from multiple locations in a venue, in which multiple individuals are engaged in activities, such as athletic performances or non-sporting activities, is stored and edited, using sensor data from participants and tag data from spectators, to create individualized video programs of athletic performances of individuals. Each camera provides a video feed that is continuously stored. Each video feed is stored in a sequence of data files in computer storage, which data files are created in regular time intervals. Each file is accessible using an identifier of the camera and a time interval. Similarly, data from sensors and tagging devices are continuously received and stored in a database. The database stores, for each sensor, an identifier of each individual detected in the proximity of the sensor and the time at which the individual was detected. Each sensor is associated with one or more cameras. Tag data is similarly stored from tagging devices manipulated by spectators.
