Abstract: An interactive smart toilet training device is provided in the form of a potty-training chair that resembles/mocks the traditional toilet in miniature form and has special/smart features to assist with potty training. The smart features enable the device to maintain the functionality of a standard toilet while attracting and engaging with the child and identifying, recording, and tracking metrics/history associated with the child's use of the device. Multiple interactive features include smart software applications, songs, and phrases to gain the toddler's attention, and a transparent lighted seat that lights on command, when in use, and/or when there was a successful sit/use. Tracking metrics/history to identify the frequency and conditions of successful sits/uses enable a more timely, accurate, and efficient means for successful completion of toilet training.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an electrodynamic actuator configured to operate within a wide frequency range up to the entire spectrum of audio frequencies (20 Hz to 20 KHz). The actuator comprises an open-ended hollow body, a package-type magnetic system comprising one or more pairs of magnets arranged in the hollow body, a sound-emitting membrane arranged externally to the hollow body, a support frame extending from the membrane into the hollow body and having two or more coils attached thereto, and conductive tracks connecting each of the coils with an AC power source. Each pair of magnets comprises two coaxially fixed magnets, one of which surrounds another in the form of a ring. There is a magnetic gap between the magnets in each pair of magnets. Moreover, the magnets in each pair of magnets have different magnetizations, so that their magnetic fields are directed in opposite directions.

Abstract: A system for distributing water from a bathtub spout protruding from a wall into a bathtub residing below the spout is disclosed. The system includes a wall plate mounted to the wall and surrounding but not contacting the spout, the wall plate having a bracket portion extending away from the wall, the bracket portion enclosing but not contacting the spout. The system further includes a water diverting portion configured to fit over and attach to the bracket portion of the wall plate, the water diverting portion configured to receive water flowing out of the spout and to divert the water to an outlet. The system further includes at least one tubular member fluidly connected to the outlet of the water diverting portion, the at least one tubular member terminating in an outlet having a plurality of holes to create a spray pattern from the water flowing out of the spout.

Abstract: For the fitting of a hearing instrument, an audio signal of an ambient sound, recorded by way of an input transducer, is modified according to a multiplicity of signal processing parameters. Via a first classifier, a user of the hearing instrument is offered a plurality of problem descriptions for the user to select. By way of a second classifier, a proposed solution for modified values of the signal processing parameters is determined based on the user's selection of one of the offered problem descriptions.

Abstract: An optimization system for testing a patient's hearing comprises a controller, an ear piece, and a memory. The controller: provides a series of tones to the ear piece; receives feedback from the patient between each tone; generates a data point to be used in an audiogram after receiving each feedback; after each data point is generated, computes a statistical distribution based on the generated data points; identifies an area of the statistical distribution most in need of additional data; and selects a subsequent tone to provide in the series of tones. Each feedback indicates whether the respective tone was detected or not detected, and each data point is based on the respective feedback. Each subsequent tone provided in the series of tones is a tone represented in the area of the statistical distribution most in need of additional data at the time of selection.

Preferably, the tension of the flexible wall such as mesh fabric or the equivalent contributes to the good mechanical behavior of the periphery.
