  • Patent number: 8842603
Abstract: A method (200) and apparatus for determining whether a network (111) associated with a foreign agent (104) is multiple IP address interface compatible in a mobile node (101) is provided. The foreign agent (104), upon detection of the mobile node (101), composes an agent advertisement (400) that includes one or more flag bits (405). The foreign agent (104) sets one of the one or more flag bits (405) to indicate multiple IP address interface compatibility. Upon receiving the agent advertisement (400), the mobile node (101) configures itself for multiple IP address interface datagram communication. Where the mobile node (101) has not already received a primary IP address (617) from the foreign agent (104), it requests one. The mobile node (101) then requests a secondary IP address (618) from a home agent (103) through the foreign agent (104).

  • Patent number: 8842525
Abstract: The present document describes a system and method for extending a wireless communication coverage area of a cellular wireless base station transceiver (BTS) to enable control signaling and identification of mobile stations not currently within a coverage area of an existing beamform antenna pattern of the BTS, for example. A cellular BTS may scan through dead zones of coverage areas provided by the BTS to identify mobile stations not within the coverage area of the BTS, but within a possible service area of the BTS. In addition, the BTS may receive a relaying control signal from a mobile station located within the coverage area of the BTS, and the signal will indicate a location of another mobile station not within the coverage area of the BTS but within the service area of the BTS. In either example, the BTS may attempt to provide a coverage area to the mobile station located in the control signaling dead zone, for example.

  • Patent number: 8831020
Abstract: In a remote control method and system, a virtual private network is created between a home control network key and a home control network device. Both the home control network key and the home control network device determine their network paths to the Internet from the data transfer network to which they are connected. The determined network paths are stored in a home control network server on the Internet. When it is desired to form a virtual private network, the home control network server supplies the stored network paths to the home control network key and the home control network device. By using the received network paths, the home control network key and the home control network device create between them a virtual private network, to which the client device used by the person performing the remote-controlling and the actuators to be remote-controlled are also connected to implement the remote control.

  • Patent number: 8780728
Abstract: A radio frequency radio (RF) transceiver that defines scheduling logic for generating transmission schedules for orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA) RF transmissions from the RF transceiver, wherein the scheduling logic specifies at least one of a modulation type, a code rate, a sub-channel, and a sub-carrier for a plurality of symbols to be transmitted in a communication signal sub-frame. A processor generates outgoing data bits and outgoing test data bits for transmission from the RF transceiver as OFDMA transmission signals and OFDMA test data transmission signals, respectively, according to the transmission schedules to create loading within at least a portion of a cellular service area that corresponds with a test-loading value. The amount of the additional required loading is the difference between the test-loading value and an actual loading value.

  • Patent number: 8737208
Abstract: A wireless resource allocation apparatus performs determining an amount of VoIP traffic for each terminal station; determining whether semi-persistent scheduling or dynamic scheduling is used for transmitting each packet of the VoIP traffic, based on a result of the determination for the amount of the VoIP traffic; managing, for each terminal station, a resource block allocated in the semi-persistent scheduling; and managing each resource block which is not managed for the allocation in the semi-persistent scheduling and is allocated in the dynamic scheduling. If it is determined that the dynamic scheduling is used for transmitting each packet of the VoIP traffic to a terminal station, the resource block, which has been managed for the relevant terminal station as a resource block allocated in the semi-persistent scheduling, is released, and the released resource block is managed as a resource block allocated in the dynamic scheduling.

  • Patent number: 6944176
Abstract: A system and method for data table multiplexing on a serial multiplex data (bit level) system is described. The present invention combines the benefits of previous systems with the capability to transfer large tables of data. The method used to transfer this data is a software data multiplexing protocol that utilizes the previous physical layer protocol and is capable of coexisting with previous systems. Multiple bit addresses are assigned functions such as address, data, and error detection. This establishes a data transfer frame that is used to multiplex data between a host and a module. Communication to and from the host is accomplished through the register map. The register map contains module setup information, software configuration settings, raw data, or summary data.

  • Patent number: 6785271
Abstract: A group switching apparatus for multi-channel data is disclosed. It includes a speech memory to temporarily store a time slot to be switched, and a connection memory (CM) to store group connection information. Also, it includes a processor matching unit to interface group connection information provided from an upper processor to the CM and a counter to count a system clock signal and output a read address for the CM. Additionally, an offset generating unit receives group connection information outputted from the CM and generates a first offset value according to a signal representing an ‘ON’ state of group connection, and an adder adds the output of the counter and the output of the offset generating unit and outputting the added value as a read address for the SM.
