Abstract: A crib liner is provided for a crib that includes a plurality of sides and four corner posts. The liner includes a body that has a pair of opposing first panel sections for placement along two sides and a pair of opposing second panel sections for placement along the other two sides. Each panel section is defined by a top edge and an opposite bottom edge, wherein a length of the top edge is different than a length of the bottom edge for each of the panel sections. The body is configured for placement inside of the crib along inner surface of the sides of the crib. The liner is attached to the inside of the crib by a plurality of fasteners, each fastener being configured to attach around one corner post for securely attaching the liner body to the crib.

Abstract: A modular multiple bed unit having first and second beds connected together at right angles using mating rail brackets each defining a quick-release coupler. A bracket with quick-release coupler is provided at each of the two spaced locations on the side of one rail of the first bed, and a bracket with a mating quick-release coupler is provided on the end of each rail of the second bed for perpendicular connection of the rails of the second bed to the one rail of the first bed. In one embodiment, a stud is formed on each bracket on the rail of the first bed to engage a hook on an L-shaped bracket on the end of a corresponding rail of the second bed.

Abstract: A crib bumper is provided for a crib that includes a plurality of spaced support elements and four corner posts. The bumper includes at least one panel that is configured to at least seat against the inner surfaces of the spaced support elements and a corner post attachment member that is coupled to the panel. The corner post attachment member defines a pocket that receives one corner post and permits the corner post attachment member to surround and be securely attached to the one corner post. The corner post attachment member has free edges that are attached to one another by means of a first fastener and includes a means for adjusting and changing at least one dimension of the corner post attachment member to provide a secure attachment of the corner post attachment member to the corner post.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a molded bed having a contoured sleeping surface surrounded by a liquid barrier. The sleeping surface having a plurality of channels formed therein terminating at a plurality of drains extending through the bed to direct loose liquid on the sleeping surface through a drain. The bed further comprising a means for attaching the bed to a floor and a tamper resistance glide assembly inserted in a foot on the bed, the glide comprising a floor engaging pad having a support shaft extending there from, a traveler on the support shaft. The traveler fixed in a glide pocket in the foot. The pad traversing axially in the glide pocket to orient the sleeping surface.

Abstract: A pediatric surgical table configured to allow easy and quick positioning of an infant prior to craniofacial surgery which includes a head cradle with cheek supports, a chest ramp and a body support pad. The body support pad is provided with an abdominal trough to facilitate unhindered abdominal movement during breathing and a genital trough to allow placement of a urinary catheter. The chest ramp stabilizes the infant once positioned and decreases the risk of hyperextension of the neck. The cheek supports reduce the risk of ocular compression and a open chin rest area allows unrestricted placement of endotracheal tube. Straps are provided to secure the infant in place. The orientation of the chest ramp and head cradle allows for substantial adjustment of cervical extension and provides the surgeon with clear and unobstructed access to the frontal, parietal and occipital portion of the infant's skull.

Abstract: A multi-use therapeutic pillow for the head includes a cushioned frame having a central cavity that extends therethrough. A cushioned transverse member, operably coupled to the cushioned frame at its opposite ends, divides the central cavity into a lower cavity and an upper cavity. The lower cavity is larger than the upper cavity. In use, the multi-use therapeutic pillow is configured to protect and/or avoid contact with a sensitive anatomical structure, such as, the eyes, ears, nose, or mouth, while providing adequate support for the head.

Abstract: An equine CT table for positioning a horse during a CT (“computed tomography”) scan. The table is positioned above the patient couch and communicates with the conventional CT system for examination of a horse without requiring mechanical or electrical attachments between the CT system and table. The table includes a frame carrying a tracking system, a linear movement system and a carousel upon which the horse is positioned. Prior to examination, positioning of the horse on the table may be manually adjusted linearly and/or radially in any direction to properly align the horse. Infinitely positionable cantilever members are provided to support horse's appendages. The tracking system identifies movement of the CT couch and mimics the movement with the linear movement system to enter and retract the horse from the gantry at predetermined positioning.

Abstract: A table suited for a stylist when styling hair of a deceased body is configured to hold the deceased body to allow hair to be styled. The table has a set of scissor-like supports with a foot-actuated control, thereby providing a means to adjustably elevate and lower the table. The table may also be angled via a pair of foot-actuated controls. A footrest at the table's base supports the deceased person along with a plurality of body securing straps. The table also comprises a separate platform for allowing the stylist to store products within and a neck support to further support the deceased body configuration resulting in optimum hairstyling.

Electric motor adjusting device adjusts first support part, and has first and second adjusting unit provided on opposite longitudinal sides of base body. Rotationally supported component of first adjusting unit is connected, rotationally fixed, to similar component of second adjusting unit by a connecting shaft, and axial ends of connecting shaft engage in recesses in rotatably supported components. Connecting shaft is axially movable between a first position in which rotatably supported components are connected rotationally fixedly by connecting shaft, and a second position in which one end of the connecting shaft is released from recess, and connecting shaft is pretensioned in first position by a spring.

Abstract: An electromechanical lock, its key, and its operation method are disclosed. The method includes: during a first and a second insertion phases of a key, conveying mechanical power to an electric generator by a key follower and enabling mechanically operation of an actuator by the key follower; generating electric power from mechanical power by the electric generator; reading data from an external source; matching the data against a predetermined criterion; and during a removal phase of the key, returning the key follower to a starting position and mechanically resetting the actuator to the locked state.

Abstract: A furniture product includes a folding mechanism that folds into a seat frame. The folding mechanism includes a rear section, a middle section, and a front section, with the rear and middle sections being received in a cavity in the back of the seat frame when the product is in a stowed, seating position. Upon receiving a user input, a position motor deploys the folding mechanism into a sleeping position. Upon achieving the sleeping position, an inflation switch is engaged. An air pump disposed in or near the furniture product is activated in response to engagement of the inflation switch. To return the product to a stowed, seating position, a user input causes the air pump to deflate the mattress and the position motor to fold the folding mechanism into the seat frame.

Abstract: A patient lifting apparatus is provided and which is operative to lift an injured person or patient from a lower area to an elevated position where the patient or injured person can be easily and safely transferred to a stretcher or other support device. The patient lifting apparatus includes a pair of side sections that are interconnectable. Each side section includes a lifting device and a lifting bar which is movable up and down. In a connected mode, the two side sections are connected together and the lifting bars include attachments for attaching to a patient support. Once attached to the patient support, the lifting bars via the lifting device are operative to lift the patient support upwardly generally between the two side sections where the patient can be transferred to a stretcher or other structure.

The apparatus is made of wood, steel and premanufactured hardware, and comprises components for sleeping, working and storage of small items. It is mobile, simple to operate and offers many options to those who use it. The apparatus comprises: a central core; a pair of folding frames, each pivotally connected to the central core on opposite sides thereof, for rotation about vertical frame-to-core axes of connection; a bed platform pivotally connected to a first side of the central core, for rotation about a horizontal bed-to-core axis of connection; a desk surface pivotally connected to a second side of the central core, for rotation about a horizontal desk-to-core axis of connection; and storage shelving within the central core.

The second half-bracelet (11) being interdependent (or not) from the casing of the handcuffs. A main characteristic being that the first half-bracelet pivots around an axis (100) located within the casing. The handcuff has a mean of control (3, 6, 200, 24) the first half-bracelet can move around its axis in order to allow a frontal gripping of the hand (or leg) to be blocked.

Abstract: Various embodiments of a security device are provided for attaching to and securing small articles, such as jewelry or other accessories that are either loose or attached to a display card. The security device may engage various sizes of card stock and/or secure articles that include a ring component in a practical and unobtrusive manner. The security device may detect unauthorized removal of the item from the retail premises. In some cases, the security device may also be configured to detect tampering of the security device and may include one-alarm, two-alarm, or three-alarm functionality. Moreover, the security device may also provide other features or functionalities that a retail operator may prefer or consider prior to the use or selection of a particular security device over others. The device may provide easy securing to and/or removal from an object by an authorized operator, such as an employee, and may be reusable.

Abstract: A key fob with a retractable key blank is provided. The present invention includes a housing having a first portion and a second portion coupled together. The housing includes an aperture formed between the first and second portions on an end of the housing. The aperture allows for a key blade to slide therethrough. The present invention further includes a key blank having a base portion and a blade portion, wherein the base portion is coupled to an activation mechanism and the blade extends from the base portion. The base portion is slideable within the housing and retained at all times within the housing. The blade portion slides out and in the housing in response to operation of the activation mechanism. The blade portion slides between an extended portion and a refracted position. The key blank is cuttable while coupled to the housing.

Abstract: A remote lock mechanism for a handcuff allows the unlocking of the handcuff by insertion of the key in the remote lock mechanism. The remote lock mechanism is located adjacent the pivot connecting the movable jaw of the handcuff to the fixed jaw and, thus, can be operated when the handcuffs are used to restrain a person without the officer's hands being placed between the wrists of the person being restrained. The motion corresponding to the rotation of the key in the remote lock mechanism is transferred to the handcuff lock mechanism to retract the ratchet pawl away from the movable jaw of the handcuff. In one embodiment, the remote lock mechanism utilizes a tumbler that causes opposing rotation of the conventional lock mechanism to first release the double lock mechanism and then retract the ratchet pawl with opposing rotations of the key in the remote lock mechanism.

Abstract: A locking mechanism (10) comprising a housing (16) and a shackle (14) having a first side (44) and a second side (46). The shackle (14) is slidable between a primary closed position in which the first and second sides (44 and 46) are each engaged with the housing (16) and a primary open position in which the first side (44) is engaged with the housing (16) and the second side (46) is free from the housing (16). A port (65) is provided in the housing (16) exposing a portion of the first side (44) of the shackle (14) in the primary closed position. Severing the shackle (14) through the port (65) allows the shackle (14) to move from the primary open position to a secondary open position, from which the shackle (14) can move back to a secondary closed position.
