  • Patent number: 9966028
Abstract: A LCD and the gate driving circuit thereof are disclosed. The gate driving circuit includes a shift register circuit and a shift register circuit and a level transition circuit connected with the shift register circuit. The level transition circuit generates clock signals, selection signals, and negative voltage reference signals for the shift register circuit. The clock signals, the selection signals, and the negative voltage reference signals are configured for driving the shift register circuit. A negative voltage value of the negative voltage reference signals (VSS) is larger than the negative voltage value of one of the clock signals or the selection signals. In this way, the TFTs of the shift register circuit own better turn-off capability so as to avoid malfunction.

  • Patent number: 9939926
Abstract: A pointing device is disclosed. The pointing device includes an operation cap having an operation surface fitted into a stud. The stud is fixed to a keyboard plate with a screw from below together with a sensor plate. A waterproof material is provided between the stud and the keyboard plate. Multiple pressure sensors are arranged below the keyboard plate. The pressure sensors are applied with a predetermined pressure beforehand. When the operation surface is depressed, the stud and the sensor plate slide and move downward while being tilted to reduce the detection pressures of the pressure sensors. Since the pressure sensors exist below the keyboard plate, the operation cap can be downsized, and the pressure sensors can be protected from impact to the operation cap.

  • Patent number: 9927924
Abstract: A touch panel can configured to reduce adverse effects associated with noise that can be injected into the panel when touched by performing a sensing operation at each sensor in both a panel-stimulated and non panel-stimulated state. The touch panel can detect a touch event by sensing touch in a non-stimulated state to quantify a noise level injected into the touch panel by the touch, and subtracting that noise level from a detection signal sensed in the stimulated state. In one embodiment, a sensing operation can be performed for a particular sensor at two successive time periods—one for each state—within a single scan cycle. In another embodiment, a sensing electrode configuration can be provided that enables a sensing operation to be performed for a particular sensor in both a panel-stimulated and non panel-stimulated state concurrently.

  • Patent number: 9922590
Abstract: A driving apparatus and a method for driving a display panel thereof are provided. The driving apparatus includes an output buffer, a switch, an adjusting circuit, a digital-to-analog converter and a code detecting unit. The output buffer provides an output voltage to a load according to a static current determining a speed of the output voltage reaching a target voltage for driving the load. The switch is coupled between the output buffer and the load in series, and is turned on or off according to a control signal. The code detecting unit detects an input code. The adjusting circuit determines whether the input code varies when the control signal is enabled, and disables a high driving ratio signal when the input code does not vary when the control signal is enabled. An enabling period of the high driving ratio signal is different from an enabling period of the control signal.

  • Patent number: 9911054
Abstract: The present specification discloses a foldable display device displaying stored images by a folding or unfolding action of a foldable housing and a method of controlling therefor. The foldable display device according to the present specification includes a display unit including a first display area spatially or visually separated by the folding or unfolding action of the foldable housing. When the first display area changes a state from a state of facing a second direction (e.g., user direction) to a state of facing a first direction (e.g., third party direction), stored images are displayed on the first display area. By doing so, a third party can easily check the stored images displayed on the first display area.

  • Patent number: 9910524
Abstract: An electronic device detects a change in intensity of an input on an input element that includes detecting an increase in intensity followed by a decrease in intensity, and recognizes at least a portion of the change in intensity of the input as a first input event that is associated with a first operation, for example a single click operation. After recognizing the first input event, the device delays performance of the first operation while monitoring subsequent changes in intensity of the input for a second input event, wherein the delay is limited by a default delay time period. If the second event is recognized before default delay time period has elapsed, a second operation is performed and the first operation is not performed. However, if early-confirmation criteria for the first input event are met before the default delay period elapses, the first operation is performed.
