Abstract: A removable sign support system for supporting a sign on the ground includes a substantially upright support post, configured to removably receive a sign post. The support post has a substantially horizontal base affixed to its bottom end, with a plurality of spikes downwardly extending from the base into the ground, and a lifting connection fixedly attached to the support post. A removal device is provided for removing the support post from the ground, and includes a moveable column having a bottom end configured to bear upon the top of the ground near the base of the support post, and a lever arm pivotally attached to the moveable column. The removal device is configured to pull the spikes upwardly out of the ground by engaging the lever arm with the lifting connection and applying a substantially upward force thereon.
Abstract: In order to accommodate differential expansion between thermal protection panels and a structure to be protected, the present invention provides a stand-off for holding the panels, the stand-off comprising a first portion allowing displacements to take place in a first direction and a second portion allowing displacements to take place in a second direction. Each of the two portions also presents a high degree of stiffness in a direction corresponding to tear-off and crushing forces applies to the panels. The stand-off is made as a single piece having first and second recesses formed therein in order to make the first and second portions respectively in determined orientations so that the resulting stand-off allows displacements to take place in two distinct directions perpendicular to the tear-off and crushing directions.
Abstract: A storage device for elastic straps comprising a resilient housing having an interior partition to form two separate compartments into which the hooks affixed to the ends of elastic cords are placed for suspension from a peg or other such hanging device for the purpose of preventing the hooks of the elastic cords from getting tangled with other cords or objects. A resilient support member protrudes from a sidewall in each compartment to retain the hook members therein. The hook members cannot pass beyond the support member unless adequate force is applied to temporarily deform said support member and housing to allow for the passage therethrough. A means for suspending the housing member from a peg or hook is included on the upper portion of said housing member. The device of the present invention may also be constructed with a single storage compartment.
Abstract: A substantially flat, generally circular coaster made of a material that can absorb and/or prevent transmission of moisture is designed to receive the enlarged base of stemware and to be carried with the stemware, so that the coaster is always in position and ready for use without any handling of the coaster being required by the user after the coaster is initially placed in position on the base of the stemware. The coaster has a bottom portion and a top portion joined at their periphery to define a hollow cavity in which the base of the stemware is received. The top portion is provided with shaped slots or cuts so that the base of the stemware can be inserted through the top portion and into the hollow cavity. In a preferred embodiment, the coaster is made of an attractive fabric material.

Abstract: A support base for distributing a concentrated load over a contact surface is disclosed. The support base includes a body formed of moldable polymeric material having a top surface and a generally planar bottom surface. At least one recess is integrally formed in the top surface for receiving a support member. The support member transfers the concentrated load to the planar body. Furthermore, at least one through bore is provided in the support base, and the through bore extends from the top surface to the bottom surface of the support base for receiving a fastener. The through bore has a shaft portion and a relatively oversized cavity portion adjacent to the bottom surface for receiving fasteners such as nuts for securing bolts, as well as, bolt heads of different sizes and configurations. The support base has many advantages over the prior art for example, the base may be attached to different interface bracketry without be modified.
Abstract: A device for hanging garbage bags on an exterior of a vehicle such as a car for hauling the garbage bags to a disposal area. The device includes a vehicle attachment member attached to a hook member via a strap. The vehicle attachment member has a base portion and a vehicle engagement arm extending from the base portion. The vehicle engagement arm is configured to hang over a door frame or open window of the vehicle and thereby removably suspend the vehicle attachment member on the vehicle. The hook member has a base portion and at least one garbage bag suspension arm extending from the base portion, the garbage bag suspension arm configured to securely suspend a garbage bag. The vehicle engagement arm of the vehicle attachment member and the garbage bag suspension arm of the hook member are preferably positioned on opposite sides of the strap.
Abstract: A unitized corner brace for attachment to the corner of a structure. The unitized corner brace comprises a central portion having an edge and a right angle; two spaced apart tabs extending from the edge, each tab having a stepped portion proximal to the edge and stepped towards each other, the right angle being between the spaced apart tabs such that the tabs are perpendicular to each other; and, opposed bracket portions extending from the central portion. A method of manufacturing a unitized corner brace from a single piece of material and a stackable structure made using a unitized corner brace are also disclosed.
Abstract: Tool pouch frames support a tool pouch in an upright position and hold tools. The tool pouch frame comprises a U-shaped base, U-shaped upper member, and an inverted J-shaped front member connected to the exterior of the tool pouch by straps with side release buckles. The base ensures that the tool pouch cannot fall over and spill, even when it is heavily loaded. The tool pouch frame also holds frequently used tools in a position where they are easily accessed using rings with hook and loop fasteners. In addition, the front member acts as a convenient carrying handle for the tool pouch.
Abstract: The invention relates to a cane handle comprising a hand strap attached to the top end of the handle. Said strap forms a loop which has an adjustable length and can be fixed by means of a clamping device placed in the top end of the handle. Said clamping device comprises a clamping element which is placed in the top end of the handle and encircled by the loop. In order to adjust the hand strip more easily and to reduce the number of components required, the clamping element with the encircling section of the loop is set between an upper and a lower bearing surface, is placed in such a way that it pivots around an approximately horizontal axis, and has a clamping area which is eccentric in relation to the swivelling axis.

Abstract: This invention relates to store systems laid out with shelves and aisles radiating, out from a central hub area. The arrangement of the shelves and aisles allows a customer to enter and begin shopping at any one of a plurality of places around the periphery of the store and to move easily and directly from any aisle to any other aisle through the central hub area. The arrangement lends itself to having unobstructive checkout lines located at a variety of locations around the periphery of the store. The layout extends to the parking lot, whose lanes are also laid out in a radial fashion. The store layout lends itself to being mounted on a revolving structure, which serves to showcase all sections of the store, attract customers to the store, make every parking space equally convenient and appealing to shoppers, and reduce congestion and danger in the parking lot.

In the rotary member 6, there is formed an insertion part in which a corrugate tube 8 surrounding the wire harness 5 is inserted and held. The rotary member 6 is held in the body 3 of the fixing device so as to move in a longitudinal direction of the wire harness. There is formed, in the body 3, a space 4 for receiving the rotary member 6, and stopper parts 29 against which the rotary member is abutted at opposite ends of the space in its axial direction. Abstract: A collapsible, self-supporting portable sun-screen apparatus includes a canopy support and a flexible canopy positioned over a frame of the canopy support. The canopy and canopy support are not affixed so that the canopy can be slid relative to the frame and offset relative to the canopy support to adjust for sun movement. Weights are provided to provide stability to the canopy and keep it in the desired position.
Abstract: A rigid metal frame supports a fabric cover to provide a fabric-covered canopy. The frame has a series of the elongate rafters with free ends. Cables in the hem on the margin of the cover are used to apply tension to the cover to pull it taut and secure it to the frame. A tensioning apparatus on at least some of the free ends of the rafters hooks onto the cables and pulls them taut. A sleeve slidably mounted on the free end of the rafter carries the hook. A threaded rod accessible from the free end of the rafter is operatively connected to the sleeve so that rotation of the rod in a first direction applies tension to the cables and rotation in the opposite direction releases the tension. This enables the cover to be applied and removed easily. Vandal-resistant features prevent ready access to rotating the rod.

Abstract: A flashing assembly used to construct a flashing around a building structure, such as a chimney. The assembly includes a pair of base flashing members including flexible end sections that can be deformed to adapt to the shape of a building structure around which the flashing is applied. Further, at least one of the base flashing members may also include a flexible center portion in order to allow the base flashing member to conform to a sloped surface or saddle positioned against one end of the building structure. The assembly further includes a number of conventional tin shingles that can be positioned between the base flashing members, and a number of counter flashing members that are positioned over the base flashing members and tin shingles to waterproof the flashing assembly.

The positioning mechanism includes a convex tooth and at least one concave portion. The convex tooth includes a first surface facing toward the opening direction of the cup holder, and a second surface facing toward the closing direction of the cup holder. An inclination angle of the first surface and an inclination angle of the second surface are different from each other in magnitude.
