Abstract: A terminal usage limiting apparatus for limiting the use of a portable telephone in a specific predetermined area. The terminal usage limiting apparatus 105 is installed to provide service to mobile terminals 101 in a usage limiting area 108. The terminal usage limiting apparatus 105 outputs control signals as a base station and additional usage limit messages. The terminal usage limiting apparatus 105 enables a mobile terminal 101 in the usage limiting area 108 to recognize the apparatus 105 as a base station so that the mobile terminal is switched from the base station to the apparatus 105. As a result, the mobile terminal 101 receives a usage limit message from the apparatus 105. Thus, the mobile terminal 101 enters into a predetermined operation limit mode where call originations are restricted. In addition, in this mode, the mobile terminal 101 receives control messages from the terminal usage limiting apparatus, and the control message includes a long code mask corresponding to the apparatus 105.
Abstract: A mobile terminal with a solar cell is disclosed. The mobile terminal has a main body, a battery and a flip cover. A receiver portion, a data display and a keypad are formed on the upper surface of the main body. The improvement comprises a solar cell attached to the outer surface of the flip cover to be exposed to the outside. According to the present invention, there is provided the mobile terminal having a solar cell, which is capable of providing sufficient electric power to the mobile terminal while the mobile terminal is positioned in a normal state where the upper surface of the mobile terminal is directed upward.
Abstract: A retransmission control method is provided. In the method, all base stations perform error judgment for a signal sent from a mobile station 1. Then, first and second base stations send results of error judgment to a third base station which is a communication partner of the mobile station 1. The third base station sends NACK for requesting retransmission to the mobile station 1 only when every result of error judgment of the first and second base stations indicates that there is an error.
